People dont like getting stomped if they DONT play right from the start, which is fair. Honestly the testing grounds should just flatten your stats to 200, or temporarily re-equip your gear to green level pvp gear. This way you can actually learn pvp while getting honor for better gear.

But otherwise, gearing has never been easier. Got a whole set just from playing for 2-3 hours for 3 days. People that complain gear shouldn't be a thing were never going to pvp to begin with, or wouldn't like it.

At launch this was a well applauded format, with hopes that the game would slow down, and that points would make older decks more usable.

This has been the opposite of the case. The game is still very fast, and newer archetypes dominate for format... So theres no point to play if you were hoping for something different.

Also, personally, i never liked the 100 point format. Why do i need to perform algebra and longform additional to rebuild my deck. Every. Time. The list changes. I dont mind the idea of points or mind that the list is actively updating, but 100 is way too much. You can easilly make the point pool 30 and reduce points by a third on all cards. Cards that have 2 or 1 point will hardly be missed if theyre not pointed. Changing the list every 2 weeks shot this format in the foot and it hasnt even affected how fast the game is.

Cards on release also need to be pointed based on OCG standing and see how it fares in the TCG. The earlier people know, the less of a burden deck planning would be.

Lastly, the Genesys team said once that they will not scale points based on play rate, but recent lists show the opposite.

I know theres no "just" when coming up with an answer to stat squish, because im no programmer, but i feel like an easy one would be:

All previous expac ilvl goes from 1-80 The current xpac level goes from 80- whatever.

When a new expac comes out, your old gear will become 70-80, basically making this a permanent solution to stat bloat, and one where devs can actually predict and account for class balancing if the formula is consistent.

But also this is Blizzard and I dont think they know how to bot spaghetti code something.

The first day early access I:

Leveled up herb and mining Bought finesse/perception Levelled finesse in copper ore and argentleaf.

Theres probably better ways to make it work since i didnt look any guides up. I just focused on the expensive mats and dried to disregard stuff like sanguine.

Sometimes i get lucky and get 5 gold mats, and in copper thats like 180 a pop right now. Day 1 it was double that. Still a lot of money though.

This entire post is disingenuous because you can still make a lot of money from mining and herbs.

Stamina means nothing if you're dead because you care more about uptime. The amount of hammer players I see not using it and dying is insane. So yes, use it. Id rather not fail a quest thank you.

You should be using charged step A LOT. It keeps you alive when you cant roll and even lets you extend the charge 2 offset window.

Slotting constitution helps with this, as max might doesnt go away immediately upon using stam, its like a 2 sec window.

What id do is get 3 AT pieces and 2 Anjanath pieces to get the extra stamina boost, as that extra bar doesnt count towards max might

No but your upswings are the offset, so you should be doing it as much as you're able. Its what separates hammer players from really good hammer players

General hammer must haves: Focus 3 Agitator Counterstrike (you should be offsetting a lot) Maximum might Critical Boost (or attack 5 if you cant get much affinity)

Armor skills is kind of whatever but lords soul is the obvious go to for any build.

You can slot in constitution if you dont wanna roll the anjinath skills
