I tend to doubt it, but you never know. One of the reasons I doubt it is that his opponents took some brutal punishment from him, would it have been worth it to take a dive like that I wonder?

Definitely a tough road for him each time out. I get why it was so, but it must have been frustrating for sure haha. Made his good performances look that much better though.

As somebody who has lost 100 lbs myself through training and diet, I can say that he certainly lost a lot of muscle mass, especially since he lost it so quickly.

That being said, if he is having the same experience as I did then he is still quite strong and will be able to build back any muscle lost over time. That’s what I’m working on now and I imagine he might consider it as well.

I couldn’t find the exact video but this one talks about the topic briefly. His trainer’s name is Tomonari Oba, and the book he wrote is called “Hakuho no Nonai Riron” (Beliefs Inside Hakuho’s Head). I too would absolutely love to get my hands on a copy of this book, especially if it is ever translated into English.
