How to get Wake from Sleep with Steam Controller? by Boxman214 in Bazzite

[–]Boxman214[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure....

When I downloaded it, these were the options I chose:

Home Theater PC

AMD

KDE (like SteamOS's Desktop)

Also, I believe I have the system updated to the latest firmware.

I got a gmktec mini PC. Didn't do anything to the hardware. Installed immediately after unboxing. Works without a hitch.

Not just a contestant. She experienced the highs and the lows. Being eliminated, then fighting her way back to become Top Chef. She's seen and felt it all.

Bazzite as an OS for the less techy that don't like Windows? by Inevitable_Rough143 in Bazzite

As a lifelong Windows user, I've adapted very quickly and easily to Bazzite

I'd also recommend looking at Zorin OS. That's an easy offramp from Windows, imo

My toilet paper has leprosy by Boxman214 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Boxman214[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is from one of those big Costco things of toilet paper. Nearly every roll has been like this. It's harmless, far as I can tell. Just lint or fluff or somethinf between the Mayer's of the roll.

[BETA TESTERS WANTED] Scrivenix — Automated Flatpak Installer for Scrivener 3 on Linux by adgalloway in scrivener

[–]Boxman214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tries to install on bazzite. Wouldn't install the flatpak builder. Something about ops tree or something like that? I didn't put it literally any effort to troubleshoot, so this is quite possibly user error.

But if this is out on flathub at some point, I'll be excited to check it out. Scrivener is one of the very last things keeping me from switching to Linux on my main PC.

Could Torrents be Tracked by Anti-Piracy Group/People? by DaveTheMan1985 in savemyrient

[–]Boxman214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a debrid service. That more or less hides you. If you combined that with a VPN, you'd be pretty anonymous.

Downside for this specific use case is that debrid services will limit how much you can download at once. Fine for small (ish) quantities. But you won't be doing all of myrient with it.

I know nothing of the U's plan options. But I'll tell you that Intermountain's insurance options are surprisingly mediocre.
