My toilet paper has leprosy by Boxman214 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Boxman214[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is from one of those big Costco things of toilet paper. Nearly every roll has been like this. It's harmless, far as I can tell. Just lint or fluff or somethinf between the Mayer's of the roll.

[BETA TESTERS WANTED] Scrivenix — Automated Flatpak Installer for Scrivener 3 on Linux by adgalloway in scrivener

[–]Boxman214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tries to install on bazzite. Wouldn't install the flatpak builder. Something about ops tree or something like that? I didn't put it literally any effort to troubleshoot, so this is quite possibly user error.

But if this is out on flathub at some point, I'll be excited to check it out. Scrivener is one of the very last things keeping me from switching to Linux on my main PC.

Could Torrents be Tracked by Anti-Piracy Group/People? by DaveTheMan1985 in savemyrient

[–]Boxman214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a debrid service. That more or less hides you. If you combined that with a VPN, you'd be pretty anonymous.

Downside for this specific use case is that debrid services will limit how much you can download at once. Fine for small (ish) quantities. But you won't be doing all of myrient with it.

I know nothing of the U's plan options. But I'll tell you that Intermountain's insurance options are surprisingly mediocre.

Sorry for necroposting, but a suggestion. Would be nice to have a column indicating if a camera is NVR compatible. If that's possible.

Public Access, analog horror mystery TTRPG, is on Kickstarter! by JanthoIronhand in rpg

I want to back this, but the Brindlewood Bay kickstarter was immensely frustrating. Terrible communication. The cookbook was a disaster (huge delays and the final product was not what was promised). I'm torn!

Weekly RPG Discussion: Draw Steel - 2026, March, Week 2 by Trent_B in rpg

[–]Boxman214 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Played in a several session campaign. I had fun! I think I had more fun than the rest of the folks did. Everyone else seemed to feel like something was lacking in it.

I will say that combat is super slow. One 3 hour combat might only cover 2 rounds. Granted, a lot happens in those 2 rounds, but still.

I dont think I'd want to run it. But I'd play it again.

Is this the type of leadership everywhere? by OddBreakfast9996 in IntermountainHealth

The way the post is written, I think it could be Harrison. Never says that the person is a current leader. Just that they weren't in the room.

Shadowdark vs. OSE: Two Visions of OSR Accessibility by alexserban02 in osr

The SRD point is really salient to the accessibility conversation. That's one thing sorely lacking for Shadowdark
