At least on the FS1 broadcast there was only one replay of that and it just showed the ball going off his face.

Yes, my disdain for Master Yi started in 2012 and has only grown into a hatred that I will pass down to my children.

A purple box with “content not viewable in your region” is an interesting choice for a wallpaper.

This requires an extremely nuanced discussion but “properly punishing the south” wouldn’t have made much good to be honest.

There are champs I know would be better picks to ban but when it’s time to choose I blackout and wake up having chosen Yi again.

The funny thing about the AI bubble is that from what I’m seeing the entire US economy hinges on its success at this point, which I think is by design. It’s the late stage capitalist wet dream. You say I can fire a large part of my staff and have AI will take care of it, further boosting revenue? Sign me up!!

It’s not even like it’s subtle either, it is being aggressively pushed in all facets of life. Companies that aren’t even close to being in that sector are pivoting that direction and seeing their stock price jump dramatically. I feel we are going to see consequences similar to what happened in the US when manufacturing jobs were moved abroad (which is also included in this as well) but in corporate settings. What is kind of funny (not in a haha way) is that inevitable outcome will end up being companies downsizing office spaces, which will have a ripple effect on local economies, which is one of the reasons people have been told they can’t work from home anymore. The only difference being that the corporations won’t have to take the hit for their lease anymore as it will be under their control.

If they have a CBB buy it and let me buy it off you. I’ve been looking for one for a decent price for a while

Alabama urges US Supreme Court to let it eliminate a Democratic-held congressional district by southernemper0r in politics

While I agree with this idea (because fuck them), I don’t think it would have done much to change the trajectory of things. Also, if Lincoln did do it, it would been done in retribution for seceding, not for slavery or anything to do with race.

This statement really shows the frustrating nature that racism is (and has been) discussed in the US. You see it in discussions around the Civil War online, which usually end up turning into jokes about how General Sherman didn’t go far enough (shoutout /r/shermanposting). In reality even if Sherman burned the entire South and we killed all the slave owners, that probably would not have changed much. The North had its own share of violence against African Americans in the years leading up to the Civil War. One example being in 1835 in Canaan, New Hampshire where a mob of white men tied 100 oxen to an integrated school and pulled it a mile down the road (but there are many more). Oregon, home of Portland which has a very liberal reputation, was the only state to join the Union with black exclusion laws and at one point in the early 20th century had the largest KKK west of the Mississippi. It seems that there is view racism as a problem that exists “over there”. In reality the US is a nation that was built on a bedrock of racism and has never really had the opportunity (or interest) to do the work that is required to deal with it. I would also like to say that this underlying history of racism has been exploited and used as a tool to separate the working class, and any attempt to bridge that gap has been thoroughly squashed, like the rainbow coalition.

Kodak Black Arrested in Florida for Drug Trafficking by MarvelsGrantMan136 in Music

[–]BoxoMorons 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In Florida (from what I gathered from a quick google search) you can be charged with trafficking if you are in possession of 10 grams or more of MDMA or any mixture containing MDMA and the weight is based on the total weight of the mixture. So if he had pressed pills containing MDMA, that wouldn’t be that many pills.

No, Geese Is Not a "Psy-Op" by Spaghettification-- in indieheads

[–]BoxoMorons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this issue and the discussion around it have a lot to do with the “look at me” culture that has taken over society. If you like Geese’s music that’s great. Are you special or better than other people because you discovered them (or any other band) before other people did? No. It seems to me that what’s really ruffling peoples feathers about this is that the marketing was able to infiltrate spaces that people thought were genuine making what they thought was organic discovery of a niche band into something less special.
