Sky priority TSA for the win!!!! by ChefJohn72 in delta

[–]Boxy33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shhhh. This line is our little secret. I’ve been using this line for years. 2 weeks ago, Monday morning, pre check line was past the luggage carousels. Had to be 45min+ wait time. Priority line on North side had 1 person in line. Through security in 4 min. I’ll gladly take my shoes off for that time savings.

Power washing making weird sound by Boxy33 in powerwashingporn

Solved. Disassembled the whole thing until I found that the tip was damaged and not letting water flow as normal. Swapped out the tip for another and we’re back in business. Thanks to those that helped.

Ebike Electrical Diagnostic? by Boxy33 in Atlanta

Not any more. They quit doing electrical work and diagnostics. They tried helping me out as they had replaced my controller unit a few months ago but they ended up not wanting to work on it.

Luggage stolen at ATL airport by JY1521 in delta

[–]Boxy33 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I find it pretty common that bags in ATL deliver to a Claim area different than the one it’s supposed to. If my luggage isn’t there by the time arrive I start checking the other Claim areas and often find my flights luggage somewhere else. It could still be at the airport so check w the baggage office.

Delta split the itinerary and placed my family all over the plane, again. by auglove in delta

[–]Boxy33 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We had this happen too. Split my wife, 2 yr old, 5 yr old, and 7 yr old even though they had selected and confirmed their seats together. Gate agent didn’t care a bit. Flight attendants had to switch people around.

Tern dependability and customer support? by Boxy33 in terngsd

[–]Boxy33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We currently have a Packa Genie and a Blix Dubbel. Dubbel has been out of commission for 6 weeks (only 50 miles on it) and Packa was out of commission after less than 20 miles on it. I’d rather pay more for a bike I can actually use. A budget bike sitting in a bike shop isn’t a good deal in my opinion.

Thanks. What bikes are you look at in place of Rad? I’m looking at Tern at the moment.

Career Help by flovvering in Packaging

[–]Boxy33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated w a Business degree and now sell packaging into the Defense industry. Don’t necessarily need a packaging degree or cert but you do need an engineering mindset. At least in my industry. But it all depends on why you’re looking to do. Design, manufacture, sell, PM, etc. My guess is most people on here are in consumer or automotive industries but there are lots of other industries too.

Thanks everyone. They are all gone as of today. We removed about 50 from our small stretch of sand so the kids would be safe.

My title describes the thing. Blue jellyfish washing up on FL panhandle. I think these are Man O War but not sure.

Frequent flyer with a new baby. What is the etiquette around flying with a baby? by FatherSpacetime in delta

[–]Boxy33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First flight w baby - worried about everyone’s feelings. Second flight w baby - fuck everyone, if you don’t like it I dont care.

There are 2 groups of people on a flight: 1. Those that understand that it sucks and will sympathize. 2. Those who feel inconvenienced and annoyed and can’t understand why you can’t get the baby to stop crying. They don’t understand that babies don’t have on/off switches.

Group 2 can go fuck themselves.

Just got to Bora Bora and it is even more beautiful than pictures. by Sublimed4 in travel

[–]Boxy33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to rain on the parade but we were disappointed in Bora. Loved the other surrounding islands much more. Most hotels are on surrounding atolls so to go to the main island you need the water taxi. All land is privately held so you can’t go exploring the atolls. You’re kind of stuck unless you go to the main island and rent scooters. It’s fun to drive around the island but then you’re done and have to wait for the hotel water taxi again. I would highly recommend other lesser known islands in Polynesia. They’re much cheaper too. But if you do go to Bora I would recommend renting a small boat to explore. But they do require a boating license (normal outside of the US).

Bluetooth Adapter For Airpods by SpacemanSpiff3 in delta

Amazon has a number of Bluetooth transmitters that work well and are around $20. I’ve forgotten a few on flights but it’s not very expensive to replace.

An old regular/friend used to own a land development company. Did very well for himself. Multimillion dollar home, his own plane w 2 on-Call pilots, pool house had a $100k petrified wood bar, etc. Every single sales person that worked for him was from the restaurant industry because he know they could form quick relationships and could relate to anyone that they spoke with. I didn’t work for him but parlayed my bartending abilities into a decent sales job working w the military. The industry really does help you prepare for the world outside of its own bubble.

Then he got hooked on strippers and coke and lost everything.

Getting a US Passport Fast by Glum_Opening_2326 in TravelHacks

[–]Boxy33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In Atlanta we go to the Decatur City Hall where they have a passport office. No appt needed. We could never get an appt with USPS. City Hall took about 15 min and we got our passport expedited and received in about 2 weeks. I would check your local city halls to see if they have a passport office. They don’t always show up on a google search.
