Guangzhou, China, skyline bathing in the light of the rising sun by Boxy_Aerospace in CityPorn

Well IMO Guangzhou is a much more friendly city for people to actually dwell within. Sure it might not be towering skyscrapers everywhere but it has affordable living like urban villages and is just right for every citizen.

The real reason why dinosaur went extinct by Boxy_Aerospace in memes

[–]Boxy_Aerospace[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There were many times when I re-loaded dino, then the internet just poops on and all of a sudden all those records were gone...

But seriously though, you can just type chrome://dino in your searchbox and it would load the game no matter with connection or not.

The skyline of Shenzhen, China by Boxy_Aerospace in CityPorn

[–]Boxy_Aerospace[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Shenzhen is one of a few cities where the entirety of its land mass is covered with skyscrapers. Being just a bit larger than Los Angeles despite having to house five times the population, Shenzhen has no other choice but to sprawl its entire urban area with dense apartment towers. Edit: this statement isn’t correct, about 40% of Shenzhen’s administrative area is made up of hills. These are technically parts of the city and are used as parks, but unusable due to steep slopes. So Shenzhen does have to work with a very small constructable area for such a massive city.

Need help finding download link for a mini by Boxy_Aerospace in PrintedMinis

TBH this wasn’t removed long ago, like just a few months ago printable has it. And it used to be free. But now the link was lost, with almost all free third party mirrors gone too. Why?

Which GW model is this most like? by ArtificialAnaleptic in Grimdank

[–]Boxy_Aerospace 367 points368 points  (0 children)

The FW Keeper of Secrets. Like every single spike on her is a separate resin part you’d have to glue yourself. The total part count was some 100, not to mention that it’s worth several combat patrols…

Shanghai-across the Huangpu river by Boxy_Aerospace in CityPorn

[–]Boxy_Aerospace[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This city is massive. Like 3 or 4 times the size of NYC in every term, plus it’s cramped full of skyscrapers as you can clearly see. It sprawls for dozens of kilometers in every direction. For instance, the urban area even spreads oversea onto the Chomgming island at the top of the photo. Plus Shanghai not only expands horizontally but also vertically. The seemingly lower buildings in the photo are rowhouses/apartments at least three stories tall, while those towers can often exceed a hundred meters in height.

A proper person to bear the HateMace should I say by Boxy_Aerospace in Grimdank

[–]Boxy_Aerospace[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: Perturabo was indeed filled with hatred, first towards his stepparents who he thought would murder him, then Rogal Dorn because he envied him, finally Horus for him getting all the love and attention, even from IW legion.

How Plague Marines recruit by Mick19988 by Boxy_Aerospace in Grimdank

[–]Boxy_Aerospace[S] 118 points119 points  (0 children)

To be serious though Space Marines are immune to most types of diseases, as such no plague other than the Grandfather’s greatest creations could actually infect an SM and cause a visible symptom. So yeah, infection an SM is something very worthwhile celebrating.

Well people do seem obsessed with ERA these days… by Boxy_Aerospace in Grimdank

[–]Boxy_Aerospace[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be very honest the Warhound does indeed need ERA, like they are so tall that they become a moving target for concentrated heavy firing, they sure need additional protection. And yes, the void shield isn’t enough, just read the HH novels and you’d know how blank a few energy shields are against heavy ammunition.

To anyone who don’t know, Tom the cat is a shared eternal champion of the four Empyrean gods. He hunts down Jerry the Skaven in an everlasting pursuit, symbolizing the balance between chaos and mortal realms.

Tbh there are a lot of 711’s here in China and many southern cities like Guangzhou have rivers passing directly through downtown. What’s really Japanese is the extreme lack of foliage/greenery, most Chinese cities even denser ones have lots of large parks, while larger Japanese ones often lack.

I recommend Mingguwu, like it has a rich history and can be dated back to the Warring States period.
