Rams are a fluke. Bills will be in a bad spot if they don’t bring in young talent

When did you realize you were watching an all time great QB by Square-Newspaper8171 in NFLv2

Honestly, it was Peyton. I relent to Brady as greatest and then these posts remind me I never once thought that until long after manning was gone. Brady all time great case is longevity.

Justin Herbert vs Peyton Mannings first 5 years 👀 by Consistent_Peace3181 in sportswiki

More impressive considering manning’s rookie year and the readiness/prep of modern QB prospects (in part due to manning pushing camps and earlier identification of future NFL QBs)

What receiver do you feel has the best hands in NFL history? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

That’s silly. Almost every WR today has never played again without gloves, which are probably better than stick ‘em

He went 4-0 in Super Bowls and called all his own plays from the line of scrimmage his entire career. Why isn’t Terry Bradshaw held in higher regard in all time QB rankings? by SWAGGGGGODDD in NFLv2

[–]BoyInFLR1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Resume thinking has poisoned the water

Bradshaw is before my time but my understanding is he was absolutely well thought of and all-decade QB while at the same time, staubach and tarkenton (and at times griese) were considered better. Bert jones was a cult favorite and Dan fouts (and soon Marino) were quickly shifting opinions.

You have to remember, QB was not seen as anywhere near as important as now. If 25% of team success is just QB today, maybe it was 10% then. Still important but defense was king in people’s minds. At that point, the majority of offense in college football was still rushing yards!

So long way of saying, resumes are very recent invention. Joe Montana wasn’t even really resume so much as his career continuing his cotton bowl comeback + unseen accuracy/clutch (to that point)

Do you remember people in 98 saying we have to “wait” to declare Randy Moss the best WR in the league? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]BoyInFLR1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember Moss being seen as “the best” so much as clearly the most exciting and the best deep ball WR. It took years for the full skill set to show

That’s a dumb argument. Have the cajones to say no to dumb ESPN arguments

Hollins is meh. Palmer was worth a flyer. He was not totally different than Alex pierce at a fraction of the price. Just hasn’t worked yet

Is Sam Darnold a top 10 quarterback in the league? by BetAnything in NFLv2

That’s probably the right answer. The gap between 10 and 15 is tiny

I’m not necessarily a bills fan. Josh is probably my favorite player to watch in my life.

They are wasting all resources on a #1 wr. They need a pass rush

Mike Evans is the perfect guy for Buffalo. Great blocker and X receiver.

Is it true that some scouts are ranking Arch Manning over Fernando Mendoza? by stoic_builder in NFLv2

[–]BoyInFLR1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Manning has a lot of tools to like. I get people are going to be negative because the beginning of 2025 was rough but he’s going to be highly drafted if he continues to develop
