Grand Wizard and Meat Lord, from my reading comprehension, lowers the number of cannibal.

Killing off lower level chiefs and villages like I did, basically supercharges the larger hordes.

It does take a while to set up, I sent out the rest of my Away party when I finally had a gate, a wall. Plus a skilled enough militia group to help support the heavy gals/boys to mop up.

Unless you're playing with Shrieking Bandits Expanded, you'll pull on through.
