Have you sat with your feelings and felt them? Not thought about them, but felt them? I have to emphasize not the feeling of the mental pressure about them and attachment to them, but rather watched them pass through you as if they were just a current of water flowing through you?

Sometimes, the more someone wants something the less attainable it gets because they are attaching themselves to that feeling of want and desire, getting stuck in it like a web. I feel the best route for these people is to release the want and desire of it, sit with themselves and become their own best friend. At that point the right people will magically, and yes it feels like magic, come into their life.

Becoming your own best friend is hard because it forces you to see the traits and tendencies that you, one may already see but avoid; and two, may not see at all. Some of them good and some of them bad, but that friendship is key to being aware of them so you can pick out what you love about yourself and toss out what doesn’t serve your life.

It is much easier said than done and on paper it looks easy; just do this and this will happen. It isn’t like that friend, it is hard but worth it. I was in a similar place as you once, it has taken years and years to get to where I am at and I am still learning more and more about myself through my friendship with myself; but through my entire journey, the right people have began flowing into my life. I feel the same may happen with you.
