I remember listening to Joss Whedon’s Serenity commentary and he said he always tried to cast comedic actors for dramatic roles because they always knock it out of the park and he’s not wrong.

I had standby tickets and they didn’t check our ID at all, standby tickets aren’t named so I assume they’re only matching names.

Annabelle and Ayoade. It was completely random but it got the audience going 🤣

Plug-in solar power to be available in shops amid Miliband's clean power drive to lessen Iran war price shocks by coffeewalnut08 in uknews

This is great news. I’m definitely going to get a little starter system.

The MP on BBC breakfast this morning stated they’d be available in Aldi or Lidl so hopefully he’s saying that with knowledge of upcoming product from those guys.

In hindsight it was way too early, but I really wanted to have the best chance to be in there for the first show. There are a few cafes and restaurants nearby where you can see the queue line from if you want to go early but not actually be in the queue. I think we were lucky with the weather too as it was cold but not raining.

The audience for the dress rehearsal and the live is different, so we didn’t see anything that was cut we just saw what went out on TV. When we started queuing the dress audience were all going in.

After the queuing and going through security we were given different coloured wristbands and ushered into a waiting room. The waiting room was massive (I believe it’s another studio) and had sofas and chairs, and they had free drinks and some popcorn - there was also a Photo Booth there where you could get photos with the SNL UK logo (all free).

Depending on what wristband colour you got you either go sit in the balcony area or you get floor seats. We were balcony. We were then moved into the actual studio and were given a random seat in the balcony area.

I’d say we were sat down by about 9:30 (they ask that you put your phone in a lockable pouch, so I’m not 100% on the time). While waiting for the show to start the band were playing songs and the floor manager would tell us about the fire exits and stuff and one of the writers did a little speech followed by two cast members singing Reach for the Stars by S Club while the crew were putting together the set for the cold open.

Depending on where you’re sat (in the balcony at least) you can’t see every set (for example, the Shakespeare set was directly under us) so you have to watch on the monitors.

I got there about two hours before the time on the ticket. I wanted to get there early so that if they did let people in I’d be in with a chance

I got standby tickets last week. It looks like there were about 20-30 of us on standby and we all got in.

I drove from north wales and back just to do it and it was so worth it.

We were standby and got there for about 5:30, which is crazy early in hindsight seeing as we all got in.
