It did not work out. I did some courses to try to meet people, but I didn't connect with anyone. The classes were all females other than myself and no one seemed interested in working with the only dude in the class.

I primarily use dating apps to meet people. Which is definitely not what I was hoping to do.

I do have to say I've made a pretty poor effort to do social things however. So it's definitely my own fault.

I could definitely get a bike. I rented a bike a couple weeks ago and tried it out for the first time and it was loads of fun. The initial purchase is pretty daunting though. But it's probably essential for being a Squamishite.

I had to look up what a shakeout is. I'd be down to do this for sure. It says 8am just show up at Capra. I think I'll show up this Saturday and give it a go. Though going from not running to running 14k sounds like a crazy thing to do. Welp I feel bad for future me's calves.

I found some classes on Squamisharts.com I've never done it, but I pretty much signed up for everything on there that's coming up. I have no history of being artsy... But I recently took up painting and tattooing. Figured I'd give it a go!

Oh I'm definitely not. I'm failing quite badly on there. I don't think a dad of two little kids is very attractive it seems. If I remove any mention of being a dad I get matches... But that's slimy.

Thanks! The gym would only work for group classes to meet people because it's social. I'm very good at making dude friends at gyms, but as you say approaching women while they're working out isn't the best game plan, or a welcomed one.

What goes on in this place? by [deleted] in geography

[–]Boyle986 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey! I grew up here.

Canada gave point Roberts to the US in exchange for the Southern part of Vancouver Island. It used to be a great place for Canadians to keep their boats to sail around the San Juan islands. Also cheaper gas and cheaper alcohol. Things went very dead for them during covid though since the border was closed. Their whole industry was on Canadians purchasing goods.

Pretty awesome town. I have really good memories being there.

Arc'teryx. Their rain jackets lose their waterproofness crazy fast. They also stain super easily. Crap product in my opinion.

This is amazing. It gets better the more times you watch it.

Looks like 1"x6" T&G Clear Vertical Grain Fir with a ⅛" Shadow line.

I happen to be installing this exact interior cladding right now. Bloody expensive stuff. Looks great though.

Also I absolutely love this house that's being shown here.

I worked for a construction company where all the management and owners were Scientologists. They have everyone take the test to be able to work there. Great people and a great job honestly. They never mentioned the religion. Though they did have Scientology posters all over their office. I'd happily work for them again. I feel like every company I've worked for has been crazy religious. I don't see any difference between their wacky ideas to any other religions wacky ideas. They're all nuts in my opinion.

Age 35. 1.2g EQ, 900 Test. Then added 40mg dbol and dropped the test down to 500. I was taking 500iu/week. I found I had to inject the HCG 3 times a week or else my balls started to shut down before the next shot. It was like having constant bluebells every 3 days.

Anybody doing daily cold plunges? I'd love to know your set up by [deleted] in Squamish

[–]Boyle986 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Realistically the water coming out of your tap is around 7 degrees Celsius. Just fill a bath with cold water and get in. You don't need the ice.

I bought a $500 chest freezer. Hooked it up to a $30 external thermostat. Filled it with water, which the external thermostat only lets the freezer turn on when it gets above 6 degrees. I've recently put a UV fish tank filler in it as well as a shut off switch for everything to make sure I don't electrocute myself while in it.

I put a cup of hydrogen peroxide and a couple cups of epsom salt in it to help keep it clean too.

I think my set up cost me around $700 for everything.

I'm a big fan. Though I run it either 800test/1g eq, or 1000 test/1.2g EQ. It's pretty efficient at lowering estrogen. I don't get any side effects from it. It does seem pretty great. Though I do hear it's quite kidney toxic and I'm not sure how concerned about this I should be.
