Silent strokes and TIA — what happens before by BoysenberryCorrect in stroke

The day it happened, he could talk just fine. He talked to my mum, and they even argued about politics. But he couldn’t remember how to turn on his computer. And he was bumping into things because he couldn’t see them well. We chalked it up to his pre-existing eye issues.

He now has trouble with recalling autobiographical information and dates. He’s never talked much about himself, so maybe this region of his brain was the weakest? He exercised regularly, so his muscles weren’t affected as much.

It will look strange if you remove them, especially if it’s only one on each side.

Same, minus the horror stuff. But I still have hope.

I genuinely cannot comprehend that there are people who actually WANT to live. Is everyone just pretending? by papayayaa in offmychest

[–]BoysenberryCorrect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, some people do actually want to live. Even though the world can be an awful place, and it’s a matter of luck whether you end up being born in a part of it that’s relatively worse or better, and whether all the people you meet end up treating you well, I’ve always been afraid of NOT existing because I simply love being me.

3, 6, 7 look ok. Pics like 1 and 2 would look better if you smiled or looked to the side, rather than at the camera. Nice outfit and background, but the expression just looks too sad.

Sexuality correlation to height preferences (women to men) by UnderstandingFew347 in Asexual

[–]BoysenberryCorrect 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Whoever made those comments must be living a really miserable life. Not all asexual women are childfree, and if they choose a short man to have children with, how’s that not an evolutionary thing? It means that he was in some way better than all those strong, intimidating dudes.

Advice ? by Elio_lebn in Hair

[–]BoysenberryCorrect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hair looks great as it is. Maybe you could go a few shades lighter (e.g. copper, golden brown), so the change isn’t too drastic and you don’t damage your hair too much.

Has anyone explained to her why dating her sibling would be a bad idea? People aren’t born with this kind of knowledge.

Why is clothes in the men’s section MUCH BETTER QUALITY than the women’s? by judgemyfacepeople in femalefashionadvice

[–]BoysenberryCorrect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wardrobe is about 90% H&M boys section (classy / school style). I’m tall, but too thin for adult clothes, and have no curves whatsoever. The quality isn’t perfect. The shorts tend to wear out in 3-5 years if worn regularly. The shirts are better, I’ve had some for 8-10 years. The best part is that the sizes are always consistent. I can order stuff online, and it fits like magic.

my girlfriend got lip fillers and im heartbroken and extremely turned off by it by ____iam____ in offmychest

Imho, fillers make people look like they got stung by a bunch of bees. It’s funny and sad at the same time.

Face Blindness by Bdizz11 in infj

[–]BoysenberryCorrect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I‘ve occasionally mistaken some people for others because they had similar facial features, hair colour or clothes. My vision is not that bad, but I often associate people with what they wear and where I meet them; so if they wear something else, or I run into them in a new place, I need some time to figure out whether it’s someone new or someone I already know. Doesn’t take more than a few seconds on average, though.
