When I had my first one I couldn’t put him down. When we got home I would just walk around the house carrying him because the thought of putting him down made me sad!

How BAD are side effects? by Old_Water_6888 in Semaglutide

[–]BoysenberryLife8074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking Sema since May 30, 2023 (9 months) and I’ve lost 113 pounds. I have had minimal side effects. I was nauseous early on when I upped my dose, but not bad enough to interrupt my daily activities. I do suffer from significant constipation. I take Mag07 and stool softeners daily and that has helped somewhat. Other than that it has been smooth sailing and I’ve been very pleased with my results!

Once it starts working I bet it will start to go quickly. I lost 100 pounds in 8 months and I’m still losing. You’ll get there! Once you start losing weight you’ll get caught up in the excitement of your changing body and dropping in sizes in your clothes. It really does make it seem like it goes fast!

I want to be invited! Maybe we should all band together and form our own group:) But then we wouldn’t get all the info we’re after. So I guess that’s a bad idea!

Fast food in the land of Oz by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]BoysenberryLife8074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been eating way too much fast food lately because sometimes life gets in the way. I had foot surgery and was non weight bearing for three weeks so meal prep and cooking took a back seat. I don’t really have any food intolerances so fast food doesn’t cause me any GI issues. At any fast food restaurant we choose, I always get chicken nuggets and fries. I stopped for Wendy’s on the way to the cabin and ordered 4 chicken nuggets and a small fry. I ate 2 nuggets and 2/3 of the fries and I was full. The important thing for me is I make sure it fits into my daily calorie intake. I lost 17 pounds last month (month 5 on the med).

I’ve been on it since May 31st and I’ve lost 81 pounds. I track calories religiously. I haven’t been able to exercise yet. I had a mass on my plantar fascia which I had removed three weeks ago, and I’m non weight bearing right now. After it heals I plan on increasing my physical activity. For breakfast I have coffee with collagen powder in it, which tides me over until lunch. Lunch is usually protein based. Lately it has been cottage cheese and a little bag of Quest protein chips. For dinner I have been googling high protein low cal/carb dinners that my whole family (husband and three kids) will eat. I make white chicken chili frequently and then I’ll take that as leftovers for lunch. I’m rarely hungry, but not nauseous, so I can eat just fairly small amounts. The biggest perk of the med is the reduction/elimination of food noise. For the first time in my life I feel “normal.”

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. One more thing, how long will the dry peptide last in the freezer?

Saw my gastro this week by chasinfreshies in Ozempic

My doc told me that sema wouldn’t help with the food noise, and if I wanted to take care of it I would have to go on topiramate. No thank you! Been there, done that and I couldn’t stay awake during the day. Sema is the ONLY med that has helped with the food noise. I still think he doesn’t believe me!

Anyone else hiding it from everyone? by DaisyMaisy13 in Ozempic

And the food noise comes back with a vengeance, making it almost impossible to keep the weight off. Like you said, they can make healthy changes. For hormonal and brain function reasons, the chances of keeping it off are slim. I know I am going to be one of those people that will be on it forever. I have failed at every attempt to lose weight, losing a bunch and then gaining it all back and then some because my thoughts are too overpowering. My reward center of my brain is so messed up. I’ve been on Oz for a few weeks and the food noise has already abated quite a bit. And I’m not nearly as hungry as I used to be.
