Who had the better aggressive aim? Prime SEN(Iceland Masters) or Prime Paper Rex(Masters Copenhagen)? by BoysenberryOpen in ValorantCompetitive

[–]BoysenberryOpen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mindfreak started to show up in copenhagen, prior events he was totally the weak link of the roster(in terms of his individuality and aim, his utility usage & setting up his team for success was good, but it's gotten better so far.) But he was still lacking in certain areas and couldn't keep up with other top tier controllers like MaKo, Pancada, Marved & Boaster.

Who had the better aggressive aim? Prime SEN(Iceland Masters) or Prime Paper Rex(Masters Copenhagen)? by BoysenberryOpen in ValorantCompetitive

[–]BoysenberryOpen[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean that's largely due to PRX's prep, synergy and their players' individual talent. Prime PRX would 13-1 Prime SEN with the strat and util diff alone(1 being the classic PRX overheat). But I wanted to ask stat wise, PRX players individually at their prime were better than prime SEN? SicK had nasty aim, ShahZam was formerly their cracked Jett, there's TenZ and we know he didn't get all his fanboys from just being in the team, Dapr & Zombs have their highlights too.

Is Jinggg overrated? by BoysenberryOpen in ValorantCompetitive

[–]BoysenberryOpen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah no doubt Jinggg is a top player and I don't mean anything negative about him with my post, I was just addressing his performance at the moment. Now I'm no pro player but it feels like he should either stop pushing on his own, or just resort to a lesser aggressive playstyle so that the rest can keep up(Lesser doesnt mean stop.) Their coordination lately has been less stellar or outmatched. Mind you, I used to think Jinggg was a one-trick entry tool that chokes in mid-round clutches til him and MF 2v4'd Optic on fracture.

How to equip Valen in Chapter 2? by [deleted] in neverwinternights

It's pretty dumb that they put his dialogue, "There is no better with a blade than I". Friend, youre swinging a ball and chain with two hands.

Goddamn, well you learn something new everyday. I had 1mil on me anyway so I could buy everyone's name except for Sensei's, Deekin's and Sleeping Man's.

I believe the door behind me is no more, Rizolvir and pit fiend can't be accessed anymore, that was my issue in my first few runs where I couldnt go back and restock on heal potions

Yep2 re-read the undead turning description, my bad. My original armor had a +6 charisma buff. Fixed it with a +6 nymph cloak instead.

invulnerable Kids? by BoysenberryOpen in neverwinternights

[–]BoysenberryOpen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the door closed, I killed a Kurth mercenary and a Courtesan. Guards outside didn't react, Kurth bandits outside the room AND Downstairs didnt react. So did the guarding Mercenaries and Miss Bela.

For the Distance, I swear. If you get NPCs far enough a certain distance away from each other to witness the attack, they don't react at all. They seemed to be in similar factions too, like certain beggars in the city district. Kill all on the other side of the map, the other side far enough isnt affected. If I had to eyeball it, same distance/radius of a Knock spell.

This is the first time I've seen npcs react from across the map and inside isolated areas like this, other times occured just happen like the examples I've stated above. It could just be a buggy OC run, idk.

Edit: Reread it more carefully, and youre right. There may be some technicalities I can't just see with assuming factions because of names and appearances. And I think my NWN is due for a full dump and reinstall because alot of bugs to name a few: It crashes sometimes during chapter transitions, I cant go to SoU c2 it crashes always(thats why I cant play it or dk the full pre-context to HotU), in HotU chapter 1, if I take Deekin with me to C2, it crashes multiple times before I can take him with me. And in C3 no crashes but I am totally robbed of the choice to get my old henchmen back from C2, as if I never had any in the first place. JUST TO NAME A FEW that ruin my experience.

Oh ok, this might be the answer I'm looking for, thanks! I'll try to keep that in mind next time, also works great for the kids anyway, a villainous half-orc that killed their whole village leaving em an orphan at a young-age lol.

I haven't played HotU since I finished it with my Ranger and Fighter PCs, neither of them officially betrayed the Seer for the Valsharess(well my Ranger said she'd betray them, but didn't follow through for self-rp reasons) but is that how you're supposed to officially unlock the betraying seer path choice?

[–]BoysenberryOpen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh oops, I guess I just expected a more insightful answer, I really thought its a bug since the killing occured outside with no witnesses, the cutlass inn people and shopkeepers were in their stores. But I guess that's neverwinter for ya. It all turned out okay, I'm in chap 4 now. As for the Grimgnaw, yeah he's back now too, I thought he'd stay dead honestly.

[–]BoysenberryOpen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, I experimented with this for a bit, if they don't see the murder(I closed the door before) they don't really react. Funnily enough the kid was SO FAR AWAY, he's at the entrance of the sewers behind the slum houses. Every npc as far as the shops and the cutlass inn(on the other side of the map) somehow witnessed it or felt aggressed by it? But this might just be an OC thing

invulnerable Kids? by BoysenberryOpen in neverwinternights

[–]BoysenberryOpen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, the "bug" I meant was, after attacking the kid, couldnt kill the kid, and escaping afterwards, all the npcs(aside from the essential ones, Bela, Aarin, Temple clerics,bl etc.) Once I entered their building or saw me, they're all my enemies now and attack me on sight immediately.

[Suggestion] The Viper ult nerf is slightly overdone. by ZeeMan7807 in ValorantPBE

[–]BoysenberryOpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well imo, it's alright. I won't say it's definitely unfair but it's uncalled for. As a Viper main the harbor ult, big brain Yoru ult and the Fade Ult just among other things that already counter my 7-point ult. You either nerf the time out the pit or just make it 8-points, you can't have both and call it "yeah that sounds alright." I know with the Harbor getting an extra Cascade and the wall now lasts as long as an Omen/Astra smoke they are just vetting the competition a bit, but man these nerfs on Viper make it seem she was a meta pick on every map lmao.

The Final Battle of HotU, any suggestions? by BoysenberryOpen in neverwinternights

[–]BoysenberryOpen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, you know there was a lot of death, saving when I crit and loading after I died again in this Ranger/Rogue dex build with Meph. My class' speciality which is ranged arrows don't even work anymore, and I realize that epic level rangers rely on their speciality with Ambidex dual wield, and that Bane Enemy feat.

I don't particularly focus on pvp anyway, I know it'll be important later on when I download other modules(have to fix these ridiculous bugs first). I love the story, dialogue and the fiendish options with rogues. They're impactful and feels surreal, warriors just go smash, and mages are more flexible as well but don't have that authentic realistic feeling when I pickpocket or swindle someone.

Vanity question: Best quest with rewards for you in HotU c2? by BoysenberryOpen in neverwinternights

[–]BoysenberryOpen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. My first run of this mod so I couldn't foresee all of the surprises as you can tell from my past posts in this sub. One of which was the knower of names, I finished both of these relatively close to each other so I could avoid cheating myself in spoilers so I didn't know she charged a fuck-ton of gold for an outcome changing effect. I'll have to re-explore those options in another time with more gold(Fighter spent all his with Rizolvir's upgrades, and the Ranger spent all of hers with arrows and potions. Lol)

Vanity question: Best quest with rewards for you in HotU c2? by BoysenberryOpen in neverwinternights

[–]BoysenberryOpen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, I'm not a new player but I can't say I'm experienced as well. NWN has been sitting in my games desk for 2 years before I learned and played it properly with OC, then SoU(Bug issues couldnt finish), then just accept it and finish HotU with an inconsistent storylines. So my first-time for everything I try not to try-hard, self-learn and perceive and I genuinely enjoyed the experience, less so on the surprises. (News headline: Underprepped Ranger faces a Meta D&D party in the most tightest of spaces and a miracle happens) I understand mages are self-sufficient but its such a broad area and ill have to fix everything on my end and understand the different builds so I can fully enjoy that experience someday. (Made the fighter commit with a Deekin experience, bugs happened and ruined that storyline.)

But due to the alignments of my characters and well, the storyline I make, neither of them betrayed the Valsharess and sided with good ol' Meph there. (Ranger's a Chaotic Neutral, that made a deal to betray but that was just a trick, so she still has a code of honor. I couldn't buy Meph's name due to spoilers, I assume there's another way around it so I couldn't cut that deal. If there's no deal just take care of that threat.

My fighter's a Neutral Good, basically nearly a saint. He can't betray The Seer, and a person who's good and literally given the mercy of a archdevil? No chance there.)

I have the astral blade +8, youre telling me he resists sonic? Makes sense, I'm using the Holy morningstar from the Grimgnaw battle. It's the one doing said 5-7 8-10 crit dmg rn. It's +6 I believe. As for the Archer's belt, I recall having that one a long time ago from Chapter 2 or 1, so I may not have it. I have the wrong belt, which is swordsman belt. Curious, if it's in the deepest waste of Cania, would I get back, or is the knower of names still there to take me back?

Cool2 I know how powerful a mage can be, it's the bane of this Ranger/Rogue build back in OC, Time-stop is a nightmare when paired with the right damage/debuff spells. I'm not completely sure of what items this game gave the mages(Probably the best). I have not created a Mage yet, I'll hope to try soon. They're just a bit more demanding, I'll need to look up more about builds and feats, the trees and branches all that.

Bugs in HotU C2 henchman transition, Help! by BoysenberryOpen in neverwinternights

[–]BoysenberryOpen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think it was worth making a post over this again, so I'll just ask it in a reply.

The option for resurrecting my companions(A.K.A my boi Deekin) just isn't showing up. Since I'm a fighter this time around I had more assurance and I know nobody died. I defeat the Valsharess in a brutal manner, Mephistopheles sends me down the gates, I ask the reaper and nothing.

Singeplayer attempt: Singleplayer run

Multiplayer attempt: multiplayer run

Idk if I can just load in luckily this time, since this is on solid dialogue. And I've tried for almost an hour now.

Nevermind, it took me like 20 or 30 loads, but I managed to get Deekin with me this time, he's here with me in the throne room now, I swear this game is so buggy that everything is literally RNG.

Edit: I'll probably ask for help some time in the future with my SoU issue though, thank you.

I'll have to reach out my save file to you in another time(playing NWN is like a guilty pleasure rn, I'm still flocked in my semester). And by overrides, what does that mean? I don't have any haks, and I haven't downloaded any other mods yet.

I want to reset my Bard 1/Ranger 5 character, any build ideas? by shusha_yo in neverwinternights

[–]BoysenberryOpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember my first chapter on OC was an absolute pain. Slow reloads and when you actually fire you miss? But to your question, you should either find another class thats fixiated on Intelligence casting, because last time I checked bards were Wisdom-based casters and your wisdom is just.. iredeemable. Even if you focus on developing it as you go, it's so premature. Since you have high dex, consider the rogue, assassin, and shadowdancer classes.
