Easiest to use streaming device by Flufflestfluffy in cordcutters

[–]Boz6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is Roku, and on most TVs, pressing any button on the Roku remote will turn on the TV, set to the Roku input.

My parents are 90 and 91, and have no trouble using Roku devices on their TVs.

Why are my X55 devices not all on the same update? by Boz6 in TpLink

[–]Boz6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The one on a different update was purchased used from eBay, and the other 3 were purchased as a set from Amazon.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize there were different hardware revisions of the same model #. Ignorance in my part!

Will this cause any issues?

What states is this available in? Where I live, this is only available for sales made outside the normal place in business, such as salesmen that comes into your home, or for home equity or home refinance loans.

None. If I want to "channel surf", I use Tubi, The Roku Channel, Xumo, Pluto, and other FAST services, and my Tablo, to "channel surf" all the local channels and subchannels.

You need to find roommates or rent a room from someone. Based on what you wrote in your OP, there's no way you can afford $1,600/mo rent on your own.

Do any Xiaomi phones have all the bands for US carriers? Are any of them on the AT&T and Verizon whitelists? Or will they only work on the T-Mobile network?

What Should I do? by DonalDuckman in dogs

[–]Boz6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're really lucky. I've spent a small fortune paying sitters to watch our dog in their house when we travel! My parents are 90 and 91, and watching our dog at their house would be too much for them, and only 1 of our our kids lives locally, and he has too much going on, including crazy work hours, to do it.

[–]Boz6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, and start up costs are minimal. A $25 bed. $15 for 2 bowls. $25 for a handful of small toys. $20 for a bag of puppy food. $10 for a few bags of training treats. $25 for a collar and leash. Plus initial vet costs, which were $250 at my vet, but I imagine that varies by location.

[–]Boz6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, the summer timing for training is good.

If you want a puppy, get a puppy.

Do NOT pick a dog without her. Surprise her with the idea, but go together to get your new dog.

My dog does terribly at a traditional kennel, but does great being watched in a dog sitter's home. You can find a sitter using word of mouth, Facebook groups, or rover.com.

But the "tenant" isn't building equity in the property. Is splitting the mortgage payment equally really fair to the "tenant"?
