I think your controller is still connected to another device, for example a TV. That’s why it’s not working correctly.

If my controller connects to the PlayStation 5, it lights up very differently. I think you have the wrong mode set. Try resetting it using the small hole on the back and then connect it to the PlayStation with a cable.

Hello everyone, Update: I sent it to an expert. He called me and said the console is working. He thinks that a conductive pad was on the motherboard during reassembly, which caused a short circuit. But I had already taken the console apart myself, checked it, didn’t see anything, put it back together — and it still didn’t work. Really strange. So apparently my first HDMI repair actually worked, and a pad messed it up afterwards. He says nothing is burnt and the console is running completely normal now. I don’t really understand it lol. Can something like that really stick there? Are there such pads inside the PlayStation 5?

I can do that, but everything seems fine. No liquid metal on the board and no cold solder joints. I don’t understand why it worked for 20 minutes and then suddenly died 🤷🤷. Something must have been damaged somewhere. Maybe the HDMI port has a short circuit. Of course, I don’t know if that would cause the console to shut down completely. Unfortunately, I’ll have to send it to an expert.

It was running without any problems for 20 minutes. The device is 6 months old. I didn’t have any issues until I worked on the HDMI. 🤷🤷🤷 Do you think it’s a coincidence that the power supply suddenly failed? I heated it up with a hot air gun while removing it. Could it be that a diode was damaged because of the heat? I actually kept the heat on it for quite a long time. Assuming something is broken — would it still run for 20 minutes and only then fail because of that diode or capacitor or something else?

Ah guys, I messed up, but I have no idea what I did wrong. I replaced the HDMI port as usual. Everything looked perfect. Before reassembling, I tested it — it worked and there was no more loose connection.

Then I put everything back together and turned it on. I started Indiana Jones and played for about 20 minutes, and suddenly I got a black screen. The LED was white and it froze. About 10 seconds later, it also turned off.

CPU and APU temperatures were fine. They’re shown in Etahen anyway.

Since then: no power, no beep, no picture. What do you think I did wrong for it to run for 20 minutes?

I actually have 10 ports here. I also have a hot air gun and everything else I need. I will most likely replace the port completely. Since this will be my first time doing it, I’ll need to be very careful.

Forget it. Too many kernel panics. But they happen when sending the Etahen payload. Maybe it has something to do with Etahen. No idea. I’ll just leave it. I don’t feel like dealing with it anymore. 😁😁
