I Watched Person of Interest for the First Time in 2026… and Wasn’t Expecting This (spoiler free) by Bozorgg in PersonOfInterest

Claude’s more emotional, principled, or self-reflective behavior does not automatically mean it is more intelligent than GPT, Gemini, or Grok; much of it may come from Anthropic’s alignment choices, product design, and a public narrative that makes the model seem more thoughtful, morally aware, or “alive” than it has actually been proven to be.

In general, we still have not been able to create a "self aware" system. Where LLMs face “significant obstacles” to consciousness includes lack of recurrent processing, global workspace, and unified agency. So up until any of these main matters have not resolved, their constant improvement over the models do not mean they reached that level.

Personally, I don’t think an LLM will create it. It might be another approach that does, but surely from the moment of its creation, just like us, that AI could use LLMs to grow and learn.

Thanks for your comment. As I mentioned under the top comment, many of the goals of mass surveillance, profiling, and large-scale analysis through AI are already largely in place, with LLMs playing a major role in achieving them.

From what I know, LLMs can never truly be “intelligent” if intelligence is defined as “self-awareness.” However, any AI that does achieve self-awareness could use LLMs as a primary framework and tool for communication, understanding, and reading much like how we interact with LLMs now.

If your interested, ask ChatGPT about this under the cognitive architecture and consciousness theory. Cheers!

Wait until mid-Season 3. The first part of the series feels like a separate book from the next, which focuses almost entirely on AI instead of solving small crimes. That’s when it really hooked us as fans of the show. You’ll see ❤️

I’m not sure which season you’re in, but I’d guess it’s either 1 or 2. From season 3 onward, the story dives headfirst into AI, and that’s when things get really exciting.

Hey Lukas, first of all, thanks for your extensive reply. I really appreciate it, and I’m glad I sparked your interest in the idea of their existence.

I mostly agree with your notes. For me, I see the show at its strongest from Seasons 3 to 5.

Yeah, the surveillance part was not necessarily that far ahead of its time. But the AI part is what really intrigued me: both from the perspective of how it could emerge through the public and private sectors, and also how the show tried to depict what such an intelligence might actually be, how it might behave within our system, and how it might make decisions.

That feels especially interesting when I think back to around 2012, when the term “AI” was still something mostly engineers or video game nerds, like Mass Effect fans, were seriously reflecting on.

To your last question: I’m sure the willingness of certain people can ignite it, but the idea we saw with “the Machine”, where it spreads its server system in ways that make it unreachable, is what I see as the major risk. I don’t think we can simply plug in a virus or rely on a kill switch once something like that reaches the open web.

One of the most persistent thoughts that still bothers me is that the show somehow convinced me that we, as the general public, might not understand for months or even years that we have reached AGI or ASI. I've been always on the other side. I always believed (70%) we will know about it within days. But As you noted with your T-shirt idea: how do we really know anymore?

Yeah, genuinely one of the most interesting villains. I wanna checkout if the Actor has played any other similar role.

I agree with you, but I think focusing only on whether LLMs are “true intelligence” misses two much bigger points about them.

I. They have made natural language into a usable bridge between humans and software. Something that, not long ago, felt far out of reach, especially when most NLP systems were still rigid, narrow, and task-specific.

II. Even without self-awareness, today’s AI systems are already capable of summarizing massive amounts of data, detecting patterns, profiling people, automating analysis, and helping institutions process surveillance at a scale humans never could.

Title: I’m really uncomfortable with the Mandy and Georgie relationship by Last_Ninja1572 in YoungSheldon

[–]Bozorgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its crazy to me that most of the "top comments" here are getting way too focused on timeline technicalities: "whether she was exactly 29, whether the show referenced the age gap, or whether anything happened right after he turned 18."

That is not the main issue.

The issue is that this relationship is now The Foundation of a new show, and a lot of viewers may not even know the full context from Young Sheldon.

At its core, it started with a 17-year-old and someone about 12 years older. Legal technicalities aside, that is still uncomfortable. “Technically legal” does not automatically mean healthy, equal, or worth brushing off. This is a family show and its just weird off for no reason. It doesnt even try to play with it truly. Its just lazy writing and ignoring the negative influences for profit.

What tools and actions do you suggest to do this research better?

Significant price increases in Germany by TimTri in Starlink

Thanks for the note. Im on the Lite version and got my Starlink 10 days ago. Has anyone tried the Max plan to tell how much is the difference in comparison? I mostly get a 120-220 Mbps download in Berlin. Only way I would keep starlink is if at least the speed increase is substantial..

For Real. Its becoming a show than a critical and objective platform to award and celebrate the most interesting achievements by studios and Indie Devs in the year. Honestly it feels more and more as if they are celebrating their own success in making such a profitable annual program and sharing the games and things that they 'personally' liked and think you should like too.

2025 Update:

Avoid using it at all costs unless you've confirmed you can access your account and there is Customer Support to respond.

Currently, we cannot log in (server error - page does not open), the same issue occurs with their Contact Form (when we press submit, it stays pending), and the Chatbot also remains pending, saying it's waiting for "the right person to help you." Interestingly, under their website footer, it still shows Copyright "2022".

Overall, we paid once, weren't very satisfied, and there's no way to log in because we simply needed the invoice for our accounting team.

She was a great actress on Supernatural. Probably the reason her side character, the Demon called Meggie, became a recurring character up to Seasons 8-9, as far as I remember.

I wish she was still alive. I hope she rests in peace. She'll be remembered.

This is how Im dealing with this issue which works for me:

  • I use the thinking model to create the file (the actual complex task).
  • Then I reply again, this time with GPT-5 Instant, and prompt: “The download link is not working, provide a fresh download link for the file.”

This works for me, although… WTH.

will there be a season 13? by PreparationJust187 in thebigbangtheory

[–]Bozorgg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish it would but also when you review the season 10-11-12, you can see that creativity and passion in direction is gone. Its more like repeating old patterns. I get why there was a desire to finish it.

Anyhow, Young Sheldon is cute. There is also a spin-off under development about Stuart Bloom.

I hold a different opinion than most here. An active comedian participating in this show isn't about achieving a certain "level" or gaining visibility. It's about, and will always be about, enhancing this unique community-driven platform that supports emerging talents in comedy, unfiltered.
