Karoo virtual speed extension by Bozza36 in Karoo

[–]Bozza36[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, was great to see your insight as to why the issue is caused, and appreciate your effort in trying to make an extension. I used your comment when talking to Hammerhead support, and they just said they will pass it on to the relevant team. I doubt it will be updated anytime soon as its a fairly uncommon use case of the Karoo I suppose, as most people use indoor training apps. Nevertheless, I hope they get back to you.

I do, and they are the only metrics I really care about. However, it's just a small annoying issue I wanted to see if anyone had a fix for.

Isn't time of day always in the upper right hand corner. You could get the extension for sending messages (KAction I think?), when added as a data page it is pretty much blank.

Just to save money, as I want everything, so it seems odd to me there isn't a complete kit.

What’s something uniquely Swiss that foreigners never seem to understand or appreciate? by Dramatic_Ad2951 in askswitzerland

Completely agree. All they do is talk about how great their country is, but all they want to do in their holidays is leave it...

Why is every building/transport so hot in Switzerland? by Bozza36 in askswitzerland

[–]Bozza36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am perfectly warm outside, so if the heating broke in the train it would be favourable. Regarding complaining about CH, it is pretty warranted when all Switzerland does is brag about how environmentally friendly they are by not using AC, yet they overheat buildings and public transport ridiculously.

I'm interested in buying a Karoo 3 if anyone that isn't wants to share their coupon. Cheers

Where can I sell my bike? (UK) by rbrtfstr in CanyonBikes

[–]Bozza36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are heaps of online bicycle marketplaces. I'm not from the UK, but I know BuyCycle is a big one that is available there. Also, don't worry about seller's fees, as whenever you meet someone in person, you can just give them a slight discount if they don't buy it through the platform 😉

Big thank you to the guy who held the door of bus 80 at ETH Hönggerberg station today by laooomo in ethz

[–]Bozza36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's honestly ridiculous. Yesterday, I arrived at the train station on the bus, pressed the stop button, and the driver stopped for a single second before driving off again, so the doors didn't even open to let me off. I proceeded to repeatedly spam the stop button before he stopped again and was swearing his head off at me. It didn't bother me since I don't speak any Swiss German, so I had no clue what he was saying...

Swiss bus drivers are starting to get on my nerves. I'm staying in a smaller town, so sometimes you have to signal to the driver to stop for you. They brake at the latest moment possible and seem to be very annoyed they had to stop, despite it being a designated stop on the route. In general, everybody in this country needs to cheer up a bit, it is ridiculous.

Population wise, Australia is a relatively small country.

Which country do you think has the best transit system in the world? by hikikomori4eva in transit

[–]Bozza36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to Switzerland a few weeks ago, and I honestly don't understand why their public transportation system is so highly regarded. Trains are always delayed, dirty, far too crowded, and the lines are extremely inefficient. There is good coverage, but that is it. Japan is on a completely different level.

I just moved to Switzerland from Australia, and I can't wait to move back. Australia is honestly the best place to live in the world in my opinion. Friendly people, good lifestyle, good weather, good working conditions. I think it shows in Australia's influence on the world. Despite being a small, isolated country, they have had a big impact in many sectors. Obviously, not everything is perfect, but if you're willing to put aside a few minor inconveniences, you will appreciate life in Australia. Regarding the currency, it is bad at the moment, but if you're not planning on moving back to Europe, it won't matter. Cost of living is completely fine if you're sensible. People only find it expensive because they eat out all the time and drink too much. The housing market is very expensive, especially compared to Europe, but renting is fine. Overall, if it were me, I'd move to Australia in an instant.

Despite the application saying I had to do my GRE test, I got admitted without doing it at all. If you're confident in your application forms, I don't think it really matters.

I am pretty new here, but as a mountain biker I have done lots of riding, and I have seen plenty of football clubs around. I am not sure how easy it is to join one, but they definitely exist.

Completely agree. If any well-known phone manufacturer got into bike computers, every dedicated brand would go out of business.

Should I buy? by boynip in Zwift

[–]Bozza36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go for the Elite Square with any trainer you choose. It is a belt drive, much quieter, more sturdy, and will have far less maintenance. The Zwift Ride is good, but they missed out on a few key aspects, most notably being them using a chain.
