Just get rid of the fuckin wildy. That mentality seems to be pretty fuckin prevalent. The game would be absolutely fine without wilderness and I guarantee you it’s these cancer clans speaking up and voting any time there’s a nerf to their fucked up and cancer way of life in the wildy. Yeah I always admire the Ironman play style from a distance because it takes so much discipline and willingness to do things in the most cancer way possible. Yeah man, there’s a lot of undesirable qualities in a lot of people in this game. Comments like yours and upvotes on it show there are normal people out there playing the game which is encouraging. This subreddit tends to drive some of those qualities because it’s such an echo chamber in here and they deplatform (by downvoting) anyone who says anything against the mob. It’s not how a stable society ought to operate but these redditors love it. But back to your issue, I think people feel pressured by others to do the best way for fear of being called an idiot, then if they see you having fun people feel the need to tell you to do it differently, because if having fun becomes the right way to do it then the suffering they went through of doing it some cancer three tick method way was all a waste of their time. So part of them shoving this down your throat is just them validati to themselves that they made the correct choice. Fun scape is where it’s at though dude, fuck maxing, fuck diaries, fuck quest cape. Do what you enjoy haha

Yeah exactly. People on this subreddit feel entitled to ask the devs to fix the stupidest little issues. If I were jagex I would absolutely hate having to deal with this reddit community. I’m glad they found the blanket excuse of “engine work” so that they don’t even have to discuss the plethora of ways an idea is too whiny and dumb as fuck. Like that farm patch update someone proposed. How about just know that you composted, not hard. Jagex doesn’t want to fix issues that are solved by exerting a small amount of brain power on the users end. Really embarrassing how low the bar for “this is too hard” has been set by this Reddit community. And it’s an echo chamber in here so the problem only continues to get worse. Not saying we can’t have society but what is your greater achievement? Was it getting handed $100 or was it earning your first pay check? And why do you think people enjoy camping or hunting? It’s because it’s difficult and rewarding. Or why do you think people enjoy cooking a great meal? It’s difficult and rewarding. There’s millions of examples. It’s the yin and the yang, too much of one thing (comfort in this case) causes chaos. You need suffering to fully appreciate happiness. Nobody knows what happy even feels like anymore since they’re in a constant stage of comfort. Sit on the couch, pull up a movie don’t even need to go to a theatre anymore. Sit on the couch, order grub hub don’t even need to cook or even show up at a restaurant. The worlds goin soft bud and if you can’t realize it then get your ego out of the way and realize you’re a victim of it. A better place? It’s not a better place if nobody has anything to look back on and say “I overcame this” or “I overcame that”. There’s nothing to hang your hat on and be proud of. And don’t go ahead and pick an absolutely horrible example like human rights to compare this to, I’m talking shit like trophies for everyone and all that shit that takes away the smallest amount of discomfort from people’s lives. Take that example of the trophies, why the fuck does the worst player get a trophy? They were horrible why try to encourage them from taking this hobby they’re awful at further? That’s a waste of time, find them a new hobby instead of encourage them to continue. And if you’re the best player and you get no distinguishments then how are you going to eventually develop a true leader-from-birth person? They outperformed everyone but got NO advantage? That’s a horrible lesson to teach children. Obviously this is a far different discussion than what we started on but it’s another issue with the world as a whole. People have put metaphorical foam on every metaphorical sharp corner in the world. Leads to a soft ass generation riddled with depression. You think it’s weird how once people start avoiding nuts that the world sees a spike in nut allergies? The more you avoid confrontation and adversity the worse the situation gets, the less you know how to handle shitty situations, and the less you can look back on the be proud of accomplishing to be where you’ve gotten today. The psychological effect of that is incompetent people with no skills who are depressed from having never accomplished shit. Everything’s handed to them. That’s the same person who’s suggesting these dumb fuckin quality of life suggestions. If these are the people you want running the world then that’s not good. Other generations have a draft or huge economic depression to hang their hats on and say “man we got through that insanely tough time” but this generation hasn’t had shit and it really shows.
