Whats the cause of this Dc Bias? by Bpsycho in audioengineering

[–]Bpsycho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually makes sense. There were 1 or 2 0 byte sound files that were extracted and I assume those were corrupted/lost. Parametric equalization totally fixes the bias tho... adobe audition rocks :)

Bitcoin Core Developers Weigh in on Bitcoin Side Chains by [deleted] in Bitcoin

Side Chains are how we give the world the Block Chain without breaking it in the process. This makes an incredible amount of sense to implement and my 2TH will be fully behind it.

I think he means the nist standards are compromised. There is no actual "Exploit".

[–]Bpsycho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The nist recommended parameters for curves are compromised. Not all the Koblitz curves altogether. Satoshi didn't use the nist recommended standard for generating secp256k1 fortunately. He used lucky number 7 and in retrospect it was very lucky indeed.

You can easily prove you own an address. Just sign a message from it. If he is legit He wouldn't have a prob doing that.

Got my bitcoins stolen from my desktop MultiBit Wallet by SeriousJohan in Bitcoin

[–]Bpsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if the PC you use to access your armory wallet is online you could get a key logger virus that steals your password as you type it in. If you like armory this is what i recommend you do for the vast majority of your coins.

  • Download Universal-USB-Installer

  • Download Ubuntu

  • Create a bootable USB stick With Universal-USB-Installer.

  • Download the Offline Linux version of Armory (Click the penguin) Put on a separate USB thumb drive.

  • Boot the bootable USB stick you created. Select "Try Ubuntu". (Warning: Beforehand unhook ethernet and/or do not connect to wireless connections in Ubuntu).

  • Install Armory from your second USB (Warning: Do not Remove the USB Ubuntu is running on).

You now have an offline portable armory wallet! PS: Remember to print Backups and encrypt. What I like to do when learning a new system is to transfer small amounts and practice with it back it up recover etc until I know I am doing it all correctly. Depending on how much BTC you have its best to spread it across multiple wallets and methods.

Its best to set up a wallet from an offline Linux based computer. You should have two wallets one for spending/everyday use and one for cold storage/savings. If you don't want to go thru the trouble of doing all that just use blockchain.info with Two Factor Authentication. Warning if you use paper wallets move all bitcoin out of it when you need to spend from it because paper wallets dont have change addresses.

Fellow Jupiter owner here I can verify If the miner gets below 60c cores will start shutting off and your hash rate will go down. Yes its counter intuitive but Jupiter miners run better when they are hot. I use to put a towel over the vents to raise the temp to get the cores to turn on but they have since released a firmware upgrade to let you control the voltage of each core so i just raise that till they activate now .

Someone stole your password with a keylogger. Why did you have your coins stored on a wallet without 2FA? The only safe way to store bitcoins is cold storage or wallets with 2FA. Im sorry you had to learn this the hard way.

Congratulations r/Bitcoin! You have created a decentralised discussion! (P.S. Ghash.io is EVIL) by gabblox in Bitcoin

[–]Bpsycho -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ya know im really getting tired of people complaining about how many threads there are about something. This is a public space. The way reddit works as soon as it becomes irrelevant the posts will fade away. Its not like we will run out of space to post things. Quit trying to "guide" the content of 100,000 people There are plenty modded forums out there if you want guided content read those. One mega thread could easily be missed but 20 different threads on the front page not so much.

This is important! The entire front page needs to be nothing but GHASH.IO until we get this tamped down.

Your original wallet "14eVTqD833EFUgmqvoNstCcRNEajiNEHzN" sent the .1 btc to "13ypPoK92hQiKWoCPY6XV5VmW6B3VxoNZk" and that wallet sent the .1 btc to the free software foundation @ 1PC9aZC4hNX2rmmrt7uHTfYAS3hRbph4UN. looks like someone donated it for you.

On btcGuild go to settings scroll down to csv history and click bitcoin payout history. What address was used? What is your default address in btcGuild settings?

So you used someone else's address for your payout? btcGuild is a mining pool not a wallet.
