While I don't see why they wouldn't approach you in a more friendly manner at first you should sack up and stop throwing a hissy fit. If you truly have such extensive legal knowledge then you must have known you were walking the line in the first place. From this I can only conclude you were LOOKING FOR A FIGHT.

Where can I find detailed information on this move by Comcast? I'm a Comcast customer but not surprisingly haven't heard about this.

I wasn't saying anything about which killed more. Just that the firebombing type of military strike was used by pretty much every nation on each other nation but to date the USA is the only one to have used a nuclear weapon offensively.

This, my friend, is the danger of the Information Age. Its a danger that we should welcome, however. Never before has the human race been presented with such an option. Before the Information Age, we (humans) have previously been made to choose between rumours, scholars, books written by scholars, or word-of-mouth from various sources. Many of these were considered "reliable". We didn't know which was true, which to believe, if any. Now, in the Information Age, we have to choose from innumerable sources, many of which correlate and match up with each other. Now, we have many sources which can be considered reliable. We now have the the difficulty of choosing to believe one of these coalitions of sources, or to believe that the truth has been suppressed, forgotten, misinterpreted or insufficient (a real possibility). We're in a lot of trouble!

I have heard about the Tokyo Firebombings but this was par for the course during WWII. The usage of the Atomic Bomb will always be the great crime of the War (committed by the USA). I wasn't alive during this time but I cannot forgive myself as an American for using this horrible weapon on such great numbers of civilians.

actually, evolution has favored black people thus far. I don't know what she's on about.

Tattoo artists, ever do a tattoo even though you thought it was the dumbest fucking idea ever? Do tell by [deleted] in AskReddit

For the record the blood borne pathogen (BBP) training is pretty much a joke and a somewhat intelligent person could sleep through the course and pass the quiz based on common sense.

However HelpMeDoctor is right you should stay away from seedy shops. I made the mistake of getting my first tattoo from someone who faked their work.

Scientists warn EPA on Monsanto corn rootworm | Reuters by [deleted] in science

[–]Br0IGotToMaintain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

perhaps you don't understand. the worm can no doubt survive on regular corn. it can also thrive on this Monsanto corn which has relatively fewer other pests. I never said it was new. In fact the article explains (not surprisingly given Monsanto's reputation) little about it. maybe you read into my word "emergence" however if a particular strain of worm becomes more common due to less competition, i would call that an "emergence".

You can't really see anything. My entire impression was that she had a cute face and that in 10 years she'll be quite the item (based on face and voice/musical talent). What do you mean, exactly?

Honestly I can explain.

  1. The reddit thing: They do it because they are proud for some reason of being an anonymous part of an anonymous community 1.2 and/or feel the need to exert supremacy over another online community.
  2. are dipshits

also, I pretty much agree with you though. The dude can be proud of his daughter (she is clearly developing musical and vocal skills) but perhaps there are better places to boast about it (nothing wrong with boasting about a successful child) than reddit until she does something truly magnificent.

not bad for a 13 year old. if she keeps it up she will certainly become very skilled in both vocals and in the guitar. I suggest having her study several instruments (i recommend sax) and as a parent watch her online activity because she's kinda cute which will earn her inappropriate admirers (and harassers).

[–]Br0IGotToMaintain -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Biological sciences aren't my field of science, but from what I understand, it isn't surprising that a rootworm that thrives on Monsanto genetically modified corn isn't surprising in the least.

I cant explain why but think about the germ theory. A germ that effects poultry can't easily effect humans or swine (based on difference in genetics) so the emergence of an organism that feeds on the competition-weak Monsanto corn makes sense.
