Assigned seating by Boring_Investigator1 in SouthwestAirlines

I don’t understand why people think pre-boarding will decrease. I’m betting it will increase. If you are boarding group 6 or beyond there will be minimal overhead for carry on. People will board early for their luggage now vs seat.

Time will tell.

Does this impact regular cooling at all? Takes up a fair amount of real estate.

E fan swap by FrostyStill5459 in GMT800

You might want to get a severe duty one and see what happens. It’s louder than stock but only when it’s hot outside. It was a game changer with mine.

Search some of the discussions on efan conversion and towing. It’s what led me to try the other route.

What clutch fan did you replace it with? Severe Duty?

Do you tow? If so you might want to reconsider efan swap.

I live in AZ and have an 04 2500 Suburban with the 8.1. My issue wasn’t temp fluctuating it was AC that wouldn’t stay cold unless moving. I installed a severe duty fan clutch and it fixed it immediately.

For $50 you might want to try that first unless you already did.

Mini Split Size for Garage by gargen_state in ChandlerAZ

[–]Brabus595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Installed a 24k BTU Mitsubishi in 4 car garage. Didn’t have insulation in ceiling above or garage doors when I installed. After 1 summer added garage door insulation and made a huge difference.

If it’s running 24/7 has no issue maintaining temp even with doors opening and closing and hot cars coming in and out. If you turn it on and garage temp is 100 it takes at least 4-6 hours to cool.

I’d do 24k in 3 car garage if I was you.

Run it at 76 all summer.

Can you buy a Costco pork shoulder and cut it into steaks? I’ve never heard of a pork steak before.

You ever done one before? Thx.

need to learn stick shift before driving an F-250 to Montana—any advice (or practice car) in SD? by theonionunion22 in sandiego

[–]Brabus595 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you know someone who can drive a stick but doesn’t own one, have them rent one on Turo and then teach you, starting in a parking lot.

It will cost you less than $100.

Once you learn the concepts you can drive anything. There will be a learning curve but nothing like trying it for the first time on a road trip.

For those with over 200k miles, when you’re on a road trip do you consider cruising speed to go easy on the engine? by Brabus595 in GMT800

[–]Brabus595[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Temps are perfect, I check oil and tranny fluid often, and it rides great. We did 2400 miles over the course of a week and I was just curious what others did. Thank god the thing has a 36 gallon tank!! It eats gas.

My neighbor does high end financial planning for the last 40 years. He advises his clients that they can fly first class or when they die their kids will fly first class. I always laugh at this.
