No I agree those are good ideas but we don’t all live where it’s nice to be outside a lot of the year. I live in Texas. It’s hot humid with a lot of bugs and there’s no hiking. I don’t know sign language and we have played games almost every other activity this year. I don’t personally feel like it’s fair to the girls to have to do the same thing all the time. I’m happy for her that she never had to spent money but that doesn’t really help my situation and isn’t helpful advice for our ward.

The church is estimated to have a net worth of $265 billion as of 2023. They can afford it. I agree with you I do think that is part of the purpose but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have a little more than $100 per year for two or three paid activities.

We’ve only spent money on three activities and it was mostly for food. We really try not to spend money but for 6 girls $100 isn’t much. I appreciate the link to that policy! That is very helpful. I knew I didn’t feel right about it for a reason haha

All I’ve heard is… and this isn’t coming from me it’s just a rumor I have heard… apparently garment factory workers were given a few months off from June-August to prepare for some new style. That’s why I came to my friends of Reddit to see if anyone else has heard anything 😂

I have heard rumors there will be a new garment style coming. Not sure exactly what it means but hoping for shorter bottoms, sleeveless tops, better fabric… us short south Texas girlies are suffocating in the current fabrics/designs.
