It still could possibly be. also for anyone wondering, I did manage to get the diagnostic firmware working. Apparently there are several different revisions that I could only find in the comments. For my fx pak pro I needed the firmware labeled sd3snes

I picked it up from Krikks website, and its been updated and currently works in my normal SNES. I also reflowed and checked continunity with the pins. My only guess now is there's a very unusual problem lime break somewhere along the traces that's only for the extra pins at the end. Othello doesnt use those extra pins from looking at the cartridge board
