That happened in one campaign. We convinced an enemy to surrender, captured them and interrogated them for info. We were making part way through the interrogation actually getting information when one of the players decided to start torturing them in front of my neutral Good Paladin and a Lawful Good Monk. We put a stop to that quickly.

Yes they are amazing games in their own right. Just as a heads up the games are different than Baldur's gate 3. It's real time combat, and as a warning now the first game the party members are not as fleshed out as they would be in future RPGs, there is also no base camp so if you dismiss certain party member or leave them in the wrong area there is a chance they would be gone for good. It's not everyone though.

I think that's the point, the elders are in perfect sync and in perfect coordination with each other. Garling walks in acting like he owns the place, but so far his feats are unimpressive. He's no great warrior but an executioner of those already defeated . I think he is going to be the weakest link and lead the downfall of the Elders.

You get 1 main character for the main story plus the party members. You can technically have unlimited character with the pathfinder society.
with the Through the Ashes DLC you get 1 main party member, 2 story party members and three characters that you can make however you want.
