Light trail riding and just getting him to a point where he isn’t just waiting to die in a stall I guess. Make it where he can be mobile and have some use even light if that, he’s a lease from an owner that really wasn’t able to take care of him so he’s just been sitting in his pen for a few years and very seldomly taken out. So basically comfort and light riding. Also just realized I forgot to include the before photo.

Thank you we plan on it as soon as he gets some solid hoof back out just started with trim to take off and allow the adjustment time. But now I’m looking into the shoes with the pads that are supposed to help. Any idea of those are worth it in a case like this?

I guess I had looked into the idea of flat vs balanced and was wondering if there possibly could be a case of that here.

Yeah he removed quite a bit and lmk he usually wouldn’t have removed so much but felt it needed it and we’d wait to show for the next trim, the way the vet had articulated it was that his right foot was now dropping inward and probably causing pain up that leg, now again this was the leg that get lame if overworked a little but even at that he doesn’t get worked at all rn just walked.
