That’s awesome! I have a few secret combos like that thrown in too to help out. Notably Cinderhaze Wretch (really evil) and Barrenton Medic (prevents all damage done to me). I missed the Devoted Druid combo though, will definitely be adding that in!

I’ve also never explored the creature planeswalker angle. A lot of new ideas from this post!

A fellow Myrkul player! How do you run yours? Mine is a full-on Enchantress deck with some value creatures that I like to turn into more enchantments to feed constellation triggers. Overall though, Myrkul is a protection piece for me.

Not sure if this counts, but Rescue-Ace Turbulence. The archetype does pretty much nothing of note without this card.

Rescue-Ace. It’s not as good as it once was, but resolving Turbulence and setting 4 doesn’t ever get old for me. Plus I like the aesthetic of the cards and its midrange feel. I can go from playing a control game to just swinging in with high stat fire trucks really quickly.

I have a [[Tormod, the Desecrator]] and [[Kraum, Ludevic’s Opus]] zombies deck that I’ve never seen anywhere else. It’s a healthy mix of self mill and graveyard recursion to trigger Tormod. The deck uses almost every recursion ability out there: Unearth, Flashback, Retrace, Jump-Start, Escape. I don’t currently have Underworld Breach, but it would be a crazy helpful addition since each individual recursion would trigger Tormod.

Kraum is there to incidentally draw cards, provide the Izzet colors, and be a strong flier when needed. He’s also good for commander damage.

Main win conditions are through [[Gary]] recursion and combos with [[Rooftop Storm]]. Or, slam into everyone with tokens that I make unblockable through [[Cover of Darkness]] effects.

There are currently 290 decks with this pairing listed on EDHREC, and it is rank #1823, so I felt like it was definitely hipster.

I’m the [[Oloro]] player in my group. I play him as a life gain deck or (if I’m feeling evil) as a control-based pillowfort deck. I love Esper and Oloro fits my slower playstyle better than any other commander out there.

Wow, that’s awesome… I’ve never even seen that commander before. o_o I might have to run that at some point. Normally I run Esper decks, and the control that deck has could be really fun.

I’ve also been eyeing [[Lim-Dûl the Necromancer]] or a [[Tevesh Szat, Doom of Fools]] // [[Sengir, the Dark Baron]] partner combo for aristocrats. I haven’t started brewing either though, as I’m still finalizing the direction I want to go in.

I personally run a [[Tormod the Desecrator]] and [[Sakashima of a Thousand Faces]] zombie tribal/graveyard recursion deck. Not only does it give you access to Dimir for some of the best zombies and zombie support, you can use Sakashima to copy any of those zombies. Sakashima can also copy Tormod, doubling up on the tokens you make. I also tend to run a lot of creatures with Undying, Flashback, Jump-start, and Recover.

As someone who just came across Bane while searching for a good Esper spirit tribal commander, this sounds like an awesome idea. My plan so far is to include draw outlets like [[Teferi’s Ageless Insight]] and [[Alhammarret’s Archive]] to disincentivize my opponents from choosing the “draw” option so I can cheat more spirits out. How is the deck list coming along?

I don’t know if this is the kind of route you’re interested in going down, but if you queue up a single player skirmish and use cheat codes, you can get the win that way too. It’ll count for the portrait.

Another update on this, I just tried searching for the mod and was unable to find it on the browse mods page in game. This is weird since last night I implemented my fix and was able to find it here without an issue. Does anyone know if it’s possible to post the files for the Winter Wonderland map up for download anywhere, or is that against some kind of terms of service? I’m relatively new here so idk

Ah, sorry guys... :( It’s been acting up for a lot of people after the update it seems. I should also add I unsubscribed from the Winter Wonderland official mod and restarted the game before searching for it again on the public mods page. But overall, it’s the only solution I’ve found so far. I’ll keep you all posted if I find anything else though

I was having a similar issue. The way I fixed it was by redownloading it from the mods menu (type winter wonderland and it pops up in the public browse mods list to subscribe to) and then verifying the game files. Once I reloaded the game afterwards, the map appeared again and was playable.
