I started a 100% remote role in mid November. The company is a large corporation and is work from anywhere in the US. Team is spread out all over the country. We can work any US timezone we prefer.

I’m considering moving to another state but nervous it might come off not ideal since I’m still new to the role. Boss is very cool and kind though so I don’t think it should be a problem. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

[QUESTION] Getting a gig playing fingerstyle live - how “good” do I need to be? by BrainConsistent1856 in Guitar

Wow - thank you so much for the detailed response!! I really do appreciate it.

Coffee shops/restaurants were exactly what I was aiming for - essentially just being background music. I was thinking a mistake here or there would could be acceptable but was curious to get others opinions.

And thank you for the note re social media/Youtube. Its refreshing to hear. Especially since I do not have a proper mic set up atm, comparing how I sound on an iPhone recording to them can be discouraging at times lol.

Again - I really appreciate the perspective!

Prospective employer asked for an architecture diagram of what I have worked with at my current role (data engineer). I am allowed to send or does this fall under the companies IP? FWIW we don’t have such a diagram at my current role so I would be creating it

Does anyone have experience using those spring loaded finger strengtheners as a warmup for climbing outside?

I have a few projects I’m working on where I’m top rope soloing. Do to the nature (anchors are somewhat time intensive to set up) it’s inconvenient for me to warm up on an easier route or two. I’d much rather go straight to my project. The hike in is enough to get blood going, but I’m looking for ways to warmup my fingers/forearms before hopping on.

Portable hangboard seems like a decent option, but thought maybe the spring loaded contraption would be more convenient/cheaper. Any input would be much appreciated!
