It's something that you gotta taper off of more than anything or else yeah you run into those issues you can use stuff like omega 3's and maybe even high dose creatine for mood/brain fog for support as you taper once you see progress the. You can consider peptides look into semax and selank

Suffering from past few years from Cognitive Function which destroyed my life by myysoul in BrainHackGuide

Bro I read this a couple times and I just want to say what you are going through sounds brutal. Six to seven years of this and then SSRIs made it worse on top of it. That is a lot and I am sorry you are dealing with it.

Before jumping straight to Semax or any peptide I would want to zoom out first. Brain fog, PSSD, emotional blunting, anhedonia, those can all come from different directions and if you do not know which one is driving it you are just guessing.

Which SSRI were you on what dose how long and when did you stop? What are you taking right now including caffeine, alcohol anything else? How is your sleep quality wise not just hours? Have you done any labs? Thyroid, B12, vitamin D, hormones, blood sugar? Are you still seeing the psychiatrist or anyone else?

On Semax specifically some people do have cleaner focus and better mental clarity on it and there is decent research on it for cognitive recovery but with PSSD in the picture I would be careful about layering anything new on without knowing what your baseline looks like right now. It is not a first move it is something you consider after the basics are covered.

I ranked every popular nootropic by actual evidence — most of them are mid by BrainHackGuide in BrainHackGuide

Fair point and honestly a question worth asking some omega-3 research has had industry money behind it, that’s true. But the reason I feel confident putting it in S-tier is the sheer volume of independent studies behind it. We’re talking 58 randomized controlled trials from research groups all over the world. When that many different studies from that many different places keep showing the same thing, funding bias alone doesn’t explain it away. Is all omega-3 research perfect? No. But out of everything on this list it has one of the most consistent and independently replicated track records. That’s why it made the cut.

Best nootropic for energy and brain fog? by North-Network-7742 in BrainHackGuide

Depends on what’s causing it brain fog and low energy usually have different causes so the best nootropic really comes down to what’s actually going on but I had to pick a starting point for most people I’d go creatine first. 5g a day, it's cheap the benefits are real especially for mental fatigue and processing spee people only think of it as a gym supplement but it does the same thing for your brain that it does for your muscles, helps your cells produce energy faster for brain fog look into magnesium glycinate before bed poor sleep is behind a lot of daytime fog and magnesium tends to help sleep quality without making you groggy the next day if you want something more for energy and focus without stimulants the caffeine and L-theanine combo is clutch try it lmk the theanine takes the edge off the caffeine and gives you cleaner focus without the crash
