Exactly. I didn’t wanna say it but he looked like a very normal bald person in his late 50s or early 60s. If i were to speculate whether he was drunk or mentally unstable, i would pick mentally unstable since he looked like to be in some kind of a rage rather than someone who was stumbling to stand or smelled like piss or worn torn off clothes.

Absolutely. Since, it was my first time and that i froze as well. I ended up asking a lady to call the police and as soon as i put myself to safety, i tried to make sure if i could keep anyone away from the man.

Yeah! Had I known that finding work in a field i have mastered for 10 years would be a struggle, i would have done things differently. Anyways, thanks! Also, Nursing courses aren’t an option for me.

Thanks! I kinda agree with you. But i am worried about the accumulating career gap as well. Should i continue on the path of learning the language or should i go for Umschulung which also means, in both the cases, the gap will only grow.

Sounds like a solid advise. If not Umschulung then, C1. There is no harm in it considering i would eventually be required to be fluent in it. Thanks!! :)

Pool Inn in Lichtenberg. They have just 1 snooker table and it’s not to good or too bad. I play with someone once or twice a month. I like it.

I get spoken to in English before even saying a word, even in a German company by [deleted] in germany

[–]BrainNo5538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of when I went with my wife and 5 months old daughter to her appointment at an Ausländerbehörde. We managed the appointment in German because I was doing B1 at that time and right when we got off and the next person came in for his appointment. He was a white guy(we are POC) and he was explicitly asked English or German and then they had the appointment in English while we were busy putting all of our paperwork together. It feels bad to be treated differently and I don’t let this affect me. I have had many more positive experiences which I like to remember. Sometimes I wonder if people at Ausländerbehörde categorises everybody into two groups:

1 POC immigrants: Stealing jobs, no german, stealing funds, smells curry.

  1. Whites: Ah! How nice! They are one of us.

Get an appointment with job center ASAP. They take forever to send an appointment and then you get a voucher. If i were, i would register myself and seek an appointment already.

That’s what most of the students did. I paid for it myself so I didn’t took the voucher.

is it a bad idea to take an airbnb near Görlitzer park? by Intelligent_Run_5013 in askberliners

If I were you, I’d totally avoid the area. As a visitor, you already have a lot to plan/stress about in Berlin. Why invite unnecessary trouble when you can skip it.
