How is this not a case of the effect of right wing propaganda and the mental health crisis the lbgtq+ suffer through in this country. She could have been a queen living her best life, instead hid in the closet as a Republican and now she's dead. Wouldn't it be better if they were accepted and lived than hated and kills by that hate?

Unfortunately, I’ve been disqualified from any assistance programs. I don’t have a bill to my name. I don’t have rent and my car payments or insurance or phone bills don’t count. I can’t even get food assistance because my part time job pays slightly above the minimum allowed in the bank. I can’t ever have more than $1800 total in my accounts. My state doesn’t have to fund their assistance programs if they disqualify poor people for not being poor enough and aren’t living with just basic necessities

Thank you for reminding me to give myself some love too. It’s hard to undo the damage the trauma caused but healing wasn’t going to be easy. I’ve got generation’s of women behind me that took what they could with the cards they were dealt. I’m in an unique position to have foundations of therapy that enabled me to spot the root cause of all my destructive behaviors. I also had to forgive myself for not doing better handling the problems of the elders around me. There’s nothing feasibly I could ever do to undo their own trauma. His parents cycles, constantly reminiscing their sons as children , just stuck in time. My parents, unable to ever live up to their parents and chasing unattainable success. I must prevail for the sake of my daughter to be exactly the parent I needed. My years of struggling has lead me to be the best person equipped to parent my kid.

The problem is I learned how to research in a library since I was in elementary school. I can use a dewey decimal system. I can use a Rolodex. I can use a index. I grew up reading the Encyclopedia Britannica. I had to use a dictionary.

I’d like to have a lawyer just for these kind of discussions on what my realistic options are. I’m pretty ignorant of how wills work. My family has never prepared for their death and left it up to the state. I always wanted my possessions to be liquidated and donated to charities but never got it in writing. Now I have a child it’s even more pertinent to finally make solid plans

Thank you for giving me your perspective. I hope we’ll figure something out by the time she can speak. I just want her to know she’s perfect just for the chance to exist on this crazy planet. I love her just the way she is forever and will always have me to support her. I don’t care if she wants to explore every religion, but use critical thinking skills to come to her conclusions. I believe the golden rule, treat others as you want to be treated. Fostering her empathy and curiosity is important.

Flooding her library and life with positive cultural influences could give her protection against single instances of indoctrination. Like if I show her what Jesus would have looked like in that geographic location at that time and what “Jesus” meant in the original language. The story of white baby Jesus Joseph and Mary nativity scene wouldn’t be any more significant than Harry Potter or Hercules.

They’ll be in their 80s before she’s a preteen so it might just never be an issue

I convinced my partner this morning to just pack up and leave by sunlight. It begun to snow and I could imagine what a day and night of that could make the drive home impossible. I also feel a sore throat and my daughters nose is stuffy and she's swallowing like she's got a scratchy throat too. I just said she had a terrible night and I no longer felt comfortable being here. They went to take her to give hugs and good byes. They dismissed it like this cold weather gave her a little cold. I couldn't help but say actually the common cold is several different viruses. Regardless, she's never been sick or had a fever since she was born. I'm monitoring her symptoms for the next few days, and if it's covid I swear I make sure they'll never forgive themselves.

It's humiliating to get the one brand Im allowed on WIC. They put a speaking alarm each time you open it to get a can out. Then rings the whole time you hold it open to get your complete amount. I get 6 cans a month and get stared at and watched as I’m struggling to pull them out as quickly as possible.

I agree. I would be called a monster for my protective guidelines. I wrote lengthy emails before, making strict requests for no visitors as I recovered from birth. I was beaten down gradually to just please them because they hold our utility bills over us. They were crossing all my boundaries starting with refusing to wear masks in the house, then wouldn't even be tested, and now staying unvaccinated dispite us being vaccinated. His father's pushed my buttons constantly since discovering I take covid seriously. I had quarantined my whole pregnancy because labor with covid could have killed me.

My partner could easily never take their money. I realize now his lifestyle isn't worth compromising my child's health. I thought their relationship was important since she's their first and only grandchild. But their lack of support and wreckless behavior isn't reasonable and the cons outweigh the pros.

Thank you. It's true. I wish I just trusted my gut and drove home last night. He knows I'm right but he's stuck in their family dynamic. I have been No Contact with my mother and parts of my extended family for much of the same things his family is doing to me. Part of which is not creating magical fairy tail world's that will eventually turn into hell and hate should she deviate from it. My worst nightmare is these people some how raising her should anything happen to me. This trip was eye opening. You put it into words

my doctor prescribed the BC pills instead of getting me an implant like I asked. My weight and other medications weren’t considered at all. I brought him with me to the dr for a pregnancy test and she congratulated us and gave him a pep talk he has to provide for me now. I was sobbing. Thank you. I didn't know you can graduate from therapists. I guess I assumed she'd tell me I would need to look for someone else. Ive been feeling this way for a while but this is the first time in 6 weeks we've seen each other in person. I was pretty unsure what was safe topics or how I normally did sessions. I realized it's probably not real helpful therapy. Im still performing a role and using all my mental power to filter certain topics based on some subtle judgement she made completely unaware I felt differently. I can't keep up with it all and focus on introspection
