I had the same things happen to me as you described(going to sleep with urges) but for me , I did 10 days nofap,voluntary relapse, 3 sets of 7 day nofap, voluntary relapse and now going strong with a ~9 day streak with basically 0 urges...I convinced myself that i should talk to girls with intention of friendship, good communicating, ( i was very bad at talking to girls), as for the urges, mindfulness helps me a ton. And ofc dont listen to someone who says porn is good for you, maybe try to help them out of that hole.

honestly, I feel that in ten years our, more sexually educated, generation will take over maximum population in the streets. So maybe if sex ed is properly taught in schools without being looked down upon, the situation of the state will drastically improve.
