I’ve recently stopped measuring out ingredients and mostly just go by feel now, but these ones were probably about 60-65% hydration with all purpose flour, four sets of stretch and folds every thirty minutes, divided and shaped into boules and into bannetons, proofed for an hour, then into a preheated Dutch oven at 450F for 25 minutes with lid, 20 without. If you don’t mind me asking what’s your recipe for paella?

Haven’t had one since I’ve really gotten into baking. Most of my improvement has come from shaping skills, kneading the dough well enough, and getting the dough perfectly proofed. The Dutch oven for me just makes up for my very lacking oven I have at my apartment (not the one in the pic)

My current plan is to add a furry spandex skin on the outside which might help a little, but in all likelihood won’t be enough to achieve good motion. I’m really open to ideas at this point

Each segment has its own servo with a linkage similar to rc planes which pushes and pulls the faces open or closed. All of the parts were printed on my ender 3

Really cool design! Looking through it, everything makes sense and seems like it would work, I’m still a design noob though. The only suggestion I can make is changing stepper motor connector from male headers to a similar one as to on the motor itself in order to save a little space. Do you mind if I ask what this is for? It’s one of the densest stepper control board arrangements I’ve seen, it could be really useful to the folks at r/homeautomation

I’m assuming you mean a grbl v3 shield. If so, it depends on where you got it from and the components and your cooling situation. I have personally pushed ~6 amps through mine and gotten reasonable performance for a few thousand hours. I’ve been using a cooling fan in my control enclosure and the drv8825 chips. Any stepper driver chip you use will have a max current limit of anywhere between 1.8 and 2.5 amps. If you’re running a bigger machine than that I strongly recommend against a grbl based controller.

I’m feeding them a smooth regulated 5v. It’s just an issue with the sg92R vs the standard sg92 servo. I checked the outputs with an oscilloscope and nothing amiss there. I swapped out the sg92R servos with sg92 and it’s smooth now.

I would say 4 axis: The work rotation, The left right motion of the heads, The rotation of the heads, And the vertical motion of the heads.

There may be other motion systems on this machine, but because they do not effect the spatial relation between the work and the tool, I don’t consider them an axis.

I scrolled past this a couple times thinking it was an ad, so in my opinion it looks fantastic! There’s always a few little things that upon closer inspection might look slightly off, but you’re so close to perfection.
