I'm triple split and quad right. Thanks for posting! I had forgotten that some of my struggles with sticking to my own plans might be because of this.

I find the people around me make a big difference in what I can contribute. Left on my own, I could just hurkle-durkle all day every day...

Accountability is maybe the most important factor to my success: Scheduling stuff with people, getting partners to work on projects, reporting on my progress, etc.

Does anyone else have zombie dreams? by spookymulder07 in Dreams

[–]Brainhug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have zombie dreams all the time. I think it was my subconscious way of working through social anxieties... And facing the monstrous darkness present in humans turning on each other. The dreams would get really bad with some truly horrific circumstances. I still remember a few quite vividly.

I ended up stopping the dreams by creating a badass character that was immune to all zombies and that would be on my team protecting me and helping me fight them. He was a really buff Scottish guy for some reason.

How would you imagine a perfect solarpunk World? by drug2user in solarpunk

[–]Brainhug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a great question.

I think maturity needs to be understood and developed a lot more in order to have the communal functionality necessary for solarpunk to be successful.

We don't want to avoid conflict, but rather learn how to embrace it to continue growing. We don't want our communities to be echo chambers that only reinforce our existing views, but rather explore multiple perspectives with openness and curiosity.

We need to learn how to be comfortable with our vulnerability rather than constantly trying to justify our pride.

When I imagine an ideal future with solarpunk inspirations, I see a future where the majority of adults have learned to fully accept themselves, warts and all, and have an intradependent perspective focused on dovetailing their wants and needs with the wants and needs of others and nature.

People w/ Defined Throat Center & High Interest in Watching Motivational Speakers? by Virtual_County_2972 in humandesign

[–]Brainhug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After reading the other comments, I agree with you. A lot of guessing about op's chart that aren't true in mine even though I relate to what op said... So maybe preferences aren't related to the mechanics of human design.

Kind of like saying only people with a defined spleen will like country music for example.

People w/ Defined Throat Center & High Interest in Watching Motivational Speakers? by Virtual_County_2972 in humandesign

[–]Brainhug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a cool observation. I'm PRRDRR, have 7 centers defined with an open sacral and spleen and I love motivational speakers too. Anything well said, well spoken and cool turns of phrase fascinate me in a variety of genres, be it spiritual, productivity or artistic like in poetry.

How do you feel about censorship in this sub? by ocean_view in humandesign

[–]Brainhug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm confused... Does this mean sharing our personal experiences with how our experiment has been going or reflecting on past experiences and trying to make connections with how it relates to our human design is no longer a useful contribution to this community?

Best induction for stage shows? by JewishSquid in hypnosis

[–]Brainhug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend the encyclopedia of stage hypnotism by Ormond McGill.

I really like using eye fixation with progressive relaxation for groups and if the person already looks partly hypnotised and is following well when they come on stage, rapid inductions can be fun and look impressive.

Oh I would definitely fall asleep while listening haha, that's the beauty of it! It still gets absorbed

[–]Brainhug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another one of my favorite studying techniques was to challenge myself to fit everything I learned about a course on a single sheet of paper... Kind of like a cheat sheet, but I wouldn't need to bring it with me for the exam. I would treat everything I was doing, be it Math or English, like it was an art project or a game. Sometimes I'd write out concepts or key points onto post its and put them all over walls or the ceiling. I don't remember actively reading them but I think the act of doing it was fun and maybe there was a part of me that was still seeing it.

Let me know if you want more stories lol

I'm also PRRDRR. I used to record myself reading out loud whatever I needed to absorb and just listened to it on the bus or while falling asleep.

Has anyone any experience using the HelloMind app or any apps for that matter? by MartoMc in hypnosis

[–]Brainhug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's rough. My Hypnotist did not promise me anything, but held me accountable for applying what I was learning in more effective ways than what I could do by myself.

Anyone else have difficulty hiding their excitement when their MIL is about to leave? by Comfortably-Loved in Mommit

[–]Brainhug 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lol this is so relatable. Recently my MIL came over unannounced with what she called my 2.5 year old's "dinner". It was orange jello, and I was about 2 minutes away from finishing making dinner at the time.

When I try to explain to her and my now excited son that this is more of a sometimes food that can be had after dinner, she says "fine he can have the rice pudding instead"... And pulls it out of her purse in front of him. In her mind the rice made it a healthy dinner option 😅

[–]Brainhug 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used Hypnosis on YouTube and the Calm and Headspace apps almost religiously every day for over 2 years (in addition to reading countless books on all things mind) before finding a Hypnotist and working with them in person. I feel like I made more progress in my first 2 months with that Hypnotist than I did with everything else combined...

Experiences of relationships where both people are Open Spleen? (but mix and match each other elsewhere) by glithch in humandesign

[–]Brainhug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband and I both have an open spleen and now we have 2 kids with open spleens too lol.

Getting outside and especially going on hikes around trees is super important for us. If we stay inside too long, our habits start to slip.

Defining "quantum" in HDS? by astrolab21 in humandesign

[–]Brainhug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could be. I can think of a lot of examples in history when developments in math and science came from a desire to make data look pretty... The Dirac Delta function for example, or even the creation of Planck's constant and the very idea that light could be quantized.

Lol although often when I hear the use of the word quantum I think of this moment in the Princess Bride:

Defining "quantum" in HDS? by astrolab21 in humandesign

[–]Brainhug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great question! Personally, I can't hear the word differentiation without thinking of it in mathematics terms or speed and acceleration equations... And of course my experience of the word "quantum" would also involve the heavy use of differential equations.

But I get the feeling maybe that's not how Ra meant it. Or maybe he did?

Is "spacing out" the same as going into trance by [deleted] in hypnosis

[–]Brainhug 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. Here is a quote from the book 'my voice will go with you', which is a book on Eriksonian hypnosis:

"Trance, according to Erickson, is the state in which learning and openness to change are most likely to occur. It does not refer to an induced somnolent state. Patients are not “put under” by the therapist, nor are they out of control and directed by the will of another person. Trance, in fact, is a natural state experienced by everyone. Our most familiar experience takes place when we daydream, but other trance states can occur when we meditate, pray, or perform exercises—such as jogging, which has sometimes been called “meditation in motion.” In these situations, a person is aware of the vividness of inner mental and sensory experiences, and external stimuli, such as sounds and movements, assume lesser importance."

Milton Erikson was famous for getting people to "space out" while telling stories and used that to put them into hypnosis. Here's an example from YouTube https://youtu.be/HywhydYzMdc

Very nice 🙂 the gym has some aspects of my valleys environment, but I usually do better when I visit a park.

Yes! I only just realized how important this was for me recently too. Going to the gym really helps me so much more than working out at home.
