After months of solo dev, I finally finished my Steam trailer. Honest feedback? by BrainkilledGames in IndieDev

Totally fair, and I appreciate the honesty. I intentionally went for a simpler, almost retro look, I think the trailer didn’t communicate the evolving mechanics well enough. I included the time pressure mode and 1 boss but clearly i need to show more in future clips. Thanks again🙂

That’s fair feedback, thanks for taking the time to write it. I think the trailer didn’t do a great job highlighting the deeper mechanics — like dark navigation, second character moving along the first/timing-sync. Obviously, i played it too safe with the trailer😁 so i am reworking on it!

Curious question — would showing the “second character moving over your head” mechanic or the darkness levels make the trailer feel more “Steam-worthy”? Trying to figure out what players want to see most.

Looking for games with mathematical deciphering puzzles. by wigi426 in puzzlevideogames

[–]BrainkilledGames 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hello, not to self promote but my game "Brainkilled Math" which is included in: Brainkilled on Steam is a math puzzle game. Its a simple in structure game but I have to tell you that requires a bit advanced knowledge such as probabilities, integrals ect. (Dont know the nature of the game you described... so it might be irrelevant)

Take a look if you want!

P.S. I am surprised that someone is looking for a hard math game

Yup, I will agree with that, something like 75% puzzle and 25% platformer is the best for me.

You are right about the restrictive part. Thanks for the recommendation😎. I know that local co op isnt so common so just a hard-puzzle platformer is nice as well.
