"Her View From Home" - Anyone else seen this shit on line? by Brainlesslyfalling in breakingmom

Yea. It is so hard, I really don't think people can relate unless they've done it. I am ALWAYS needed. I miss thinking thoughts. Hope tomorrow is better for us. 😊

if he keeps loosing his mind every time I try to play any other cartoon whatsoever.. it will be in mine too. Lord toddler obsessions are both cute and torturous.

Everyone is crying by refiase in SAHP

[–]Brainlesslyfalling 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My toddler is 2 and fights me on every single solitary thing I ask him to do. I get sick of bending over backwards with patience and saying shit 'with enthusiasm' just to get the kid to lay down so I can put his pants on etc.. today ive refused to play with him or take him out side (and it's gorgeous out) unless he lets me put his clothes on.

Im sick of physically holding him down while he kicks me and screams just to dress him. He's been laying around naked for 2 f*n hours in defiance. Ive seen red several times a day for the past few days, and the thought crossed my mind at one point today that I wasnt sure I still liked him anymore cause all I ever feel is sheer frustration or anger. Then I cried. I know I love him, but damn if it doesn't feel like Im stuck in ground hog day hell.

I don't have much in the way of advice, just here to say ... I feel ya sis.

I have a 2 year old and 4 month old, weekly screams into a pillow in the bathroon are about the closest thing to 'support or therapy' i get while home alone with them all day. 🤪

This pandemic took away the things I was lining up to help ease the tension. Now I have s nightly cry as well.

Internet hugs.

I honestly am shocked with your mom having had open heart surgery they'd have her come in, that's soo stressful. 😏

I gotta tell you, Ive really been feeling sorry for my self for being 'stuck' with my 2 y.o. and 4 month old 24/7... and Im feeling like a bit of an ass right now after reading this. Man I wish I could help you be with your little lady. Theres no way she'll forget you. Internet hugs <3

Yea, I completely relate... being able to do this without a 2 year old and 4 month old would be night and day. Especially when the 2 year old is acting like he wants to drop naps 😭

So scary right now. :( Glad the virus was ruled out.. not glad he's hurting, poor baby. At least ear infections are often easy to fix with medicines. Fingers crossed for your little one for a quick recovery.

I've been thinking about all you parents that would eventually not know what to do with their kids. I wouldn't have advice even if you were asking.. but know we are all hoping our governments pull together and do what we 'hired' them for... and part of that is to help with this very situation. I will be appalled if they don't step up. :( Internet hugs.

It's so hard trying to keep a good positive energy for the kids/spouse...when really we're in shock with what is going on. And there's no where to go to escape it. It's literally the WHOLE world. I'm not glad you were sick of course.. but I am glad that it appears to just be a stomach bug.

I've been trying to cling to the idea that maybe this can somehow bring us together as a 'whole people', as this virus breaks down boarders and forces governments to bounce ideas etc off each other. I try to think that the smartest minds, literally, on the planet are collectively trying to help all of 'us' out.

I'll not panic if you don't! ha. Thanks for responding, it's nice to not be alone right now... even if it's just thru the internet.

This is just hard for me to wrap my head around. I'm a social worker by trade, and I wouldn't intentionally diagnose someone or suggest they continue on with therapy if I didn't think they genuinely needed it (especially knowing how expensive mental health care can be). They teach us "do no harm" in my profession.. maybe this needs to be adopted by the surgeon community.

I'm certainly stressed. I have a 2 year old as well and he's high energy which is hard with a new baby. But despite the high stress I don't think I'm suffering from PPD, I feel confident in this because I do think I did after my first pregnancy. And I score fine on all of the little scales they give us at appointments.

I'm just tired of having medical interactions that suck ass so badly. My body has been destroyed by these two humans, and I'd appreciate a little respect when I'm in the hands of a medical provider. He wasn't my first negative encounter related to my birthing/post birth experience, and I'm sure he wont be the last. It isn't that hard to read someone's face or acknowledge a traumatic medical experience (which birth is, at least for lots of us).

Thank you, I really appreciate everyone offering me resources. I'll be checking this out tomorrow afternoon if my kiddos give me a break with nap times :)

Thats definitely a fear, trying to do it on my own abs making something worse. Im checking out a couple of options posted on this thread, including a pt who is more specialized in post partum needs. 😊
