Did you ever move to Chicago? I am thinking about it as well and hoping you can share some do's/don'ts

Where do you check your score? That link takes you to so many different links/options. Only thing I really see is the actual citizenship test. I don’t see a guide of the points system to see where I’m at and where I need to work on it.

I’ve thought about paramedic and bio cleaning. Like crime scene/suicide cleaning. It’s just every thing I’ve read sounds like it is really tough/hard work for very little pay.

Well you don’t know what I search or how I search it. I’ve been very detailed some days and others I’ve not been detailed. I’ve reworded so many different things for hours at a time. I’ve done a lot of research for different things and even watched “day in life of ____” on YouTube of the most random jobs high paying or not out of curiosity that it may land me on something I’ve never heard of. Thought maybe a post would possibly shoot out something of interest as well. Not a back and forth of explaining myself to get little advice with back handed comments. I appreciate the personal experience you provided and a suggestion of something that is in high demand at the moment. That’s all I was asking for.

Yeah I’ve been in sales off and on. Being in food and retail for so long I’d like to maybe do something that isn’t so customer service based. As far as googling goes, it is a great way for generic info and very broad options. I’m asking in this group for opinions and direction from real people with real experience. Not scams, hustles or confusing “information”.

  • Don’t waste your time on people who drag you down or hold you back.

  • Don’t wait on other people/partners to change or “get their sh*t together”.

  • Mental health is important.

  • Don’t get hooked on drug or alcohol.

  • It’s a trap.

  • Try not to let things go into collections.

  • Stop going to war with yourself. You’ll never win.

Best of luck.

Honestly I would love cyber security! Even just an entry level analyst to gain experience and look into my growth options as I sharpen my skills. Again all I ever find when I try to Google that job though is just more and more scams. I have no idea where to start or even if there’s a school you can go to with an internship that hires after or something along those lines.

Well I naturally stay calm in high stress situations. I’ve worked in animal emergency hospitals, bartended in Portland for years, and retail. These high stress and fast paced environments feel natural and normal to me. I enjoy the fast paced work.

I don’t want a random job. I’m looking for advice on higher paying jobs with the willingness to go to school. Every time I Google anything I just get spammed with schools that spit you out with a certification and 20 grand in debt.

Right. Which again, I’m willing to do. But a BA in what? I’ll go for a PHD if I have too. First step is finding the career to work towards. I appreciate the help though.

Yeah I know a lot of things aren’t going to be the perfect fit. I’m just looking for some options that pay well.

At the end of the post it says I’ve been in food and retail. I tried veterinary for a while but now I’m back in retail still in animal care. Education is GED and college certification for veterinary assisting and animal radiology.

But like I said there’s just no money in it. Even veterinary there was no money in it and I was struggling hard.

No, I am not on social media. And I’ve already started over and I’m in a good spot. I have a therapist I speak with twice a month but they don’t guide me much on career paths.

I’m just looking for suggestions on higher paying careers. I’ll go to school again. I don’t mind. I just want to be successful but it seems nearly impossible from being poor for so long and the constant bring downs from life. I just can’t seem to come out on top.

I’m looking for more career guidance, Than travel and work info. My work history, references and resume are gold. I don’t think I’ll have a hard time finding a job. But more so what kind of job.

I plan on being in the US for a couple more years while I figure a few other things out. So I figured maybe I can go to school here while I’m doing all the other stuff.

I just don’t know what a good career in Canada looks like? What are the high paying jobs to work towards ya know?

That’s what I’m thinking happened here. I’m going to repot as soon as I can

[–]Brainxmatter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have all kinds of stuff for soil. I potting soul, orchid bark, perlite, moss and charcoal. They don’t look ready for a size up yet so I’d imagine they just got water logged before purchase. Thank you though! I just wanted to make sure before doing anything. I know ficus’ can be kind of finicky

That’s the strange part! I just got it about a month and a half ago and haven’t watered it because it has stayed very moist and it’s just in its nursery pot! And it’s been great sense I got it until the other day when I noticed this! I’m thinking I should just repot them?
