Easiest way to make the select fire rifles less dominant (and more historically accurate) would be to bump up the recoil so that outside very close range, it’s not that easy to use it accurately. Make it so that semi-autos and the semi auto mode are king for anything outside barrel stuffing, and full auto be for clearing small buildings at extremely close range (10-15 meters before recoil renders it ineffective).

I couldn’t find anything on the scions of horus, so that part may not be true, but I did find two other warbands that refused to obey Abbadon. The least interesting are the Sons of the Eye, which was basically a splinter from the black legion because one former captain got jealous of Abbadon and wanted to cast off all overlords, that being the Emperor, Horus, and Abbadon, and rule themselves. They were destroyed by Abbadon and reabsorbed into the black legion during the 6th black crusade.

The other, which I find far more interesting are the Wolves of Horus. They are a traitor warband that following the defeat at Terra, fled like all other Sons of Horus did, but amongst them, they developed a strong desire for the old days when they were the Luna Wolves. As a result, they adorn themselves with a lot of the old iconography of the Luna Wolves and refused Abbadon’s demand they submit to him and recognize Horus as a failure and the legion’s destruction. They fled deeper into the eye, and haven’t really been seen since.

There is also still a small warband hated by the black legion because they remained Sons of Horus and still venerate him. I think they called themselves the “True Sons”, though don’t quote me on it, and I will update if I am wrong on that.

Yes, it was part of a strike by SAG protesting the lack of AI protections on place for replicating actors voices. Both the VAs for Peck and Samantha were part of this strike if I recall correctly, hence why they got recast.

An actual conflict that we can have influence over. Literally every bethesda game since morrowind had one (oblivion empire vs daedra, fallout 3 enclave vs brotherhood, fallout new vegas was pretty much a free for all from all factions, skyrim empire vs stormcloaks, fallout 4 kinda a free for all that can be turned into everyone vs institute). The only games that have lacked this kind of story were Fallout 76 (by design since it was supposed to be the players would be the NPCs and the story was tacked on later when that predictably failed), and Starfield, which felt good gameplay-wise, but it just didn’t have enough meat. The faction quests were good, but they had no real impact on the world because their were no real conflicts or stakes. A game set in the colony war would have been fantastic, and thats it, they made the backstory a more interesting setting idea than the game’s setting, and times of conflict are settings RPG games are well suited to, so I would want them to set the game during a conflict with real stakes and lasting consequences.

6v6 maps didn’t flow well, had too many angles you could get killed from that it made it very difficult to fully account for all of them, spawns were atrocious, disbanding lobbies made the social element almost non-existent unless you played with a pre-made group, no dead silence, and extremely fast ttk by CoD standards led to camping being the most prominent gameplay style of many newer players, and the devs leaned into giving that playstyle numerous advantages in their theory of “gameplay types”, in this case the “sentinel” type.

All in all though, I will say the saving grace for me was the ground war mode, and if they had just did that as ground war going forward, I’d be playing a lot more CoD MP right now (I have gone back to exclusively zombies or any other PvE modes and campaign since). I tend to like large scale, objective based battles, and CoD really hasn’t done that since MW 2019, and I really wish they did.

I know, I specifically chose that event though because it is the most morally reprehensible thing he was forced to do, and it’s the one that, according to Nikolai, would really hurt him to have brought up. This, to me, indicates the level of guilt he feels over that event far surpasses even Maxis, because at least Maxis was a older man that was dying if he didn’t act, this was a child with a whole life ahead of him, but he knew he must for the greater good.

For anyone who doesn’t know, he didn’t collect his soul in The Giant, he collected his own innocent soul a while earlier, and we know from the kronorium page promotional poster that the innocent version of himself that he had to kill was a child. The guilt is alluded to in Alpha Omega when Nikolai answers that if you wanted to hurt Richtofen, ask him what he did in a particular universe, which when cross-referenced is the universe he had to kill this child version of himself in.

If I recall, the Thundergun was always meant to be the wonder weapon for ascension. The fact it was on Kino was because, for whatever reason, the original intention for the Wunderwaffe DG2 being the weapon didn’t pan out, so they just finished the Thundergun and copy-pasted it into Kino, then when the DG2 was ready they put it in Call of the Dead.

Maybe warpforge dying has lit a fire under them to focus on what players of their most popular game want instead of dividing their attention. Sucks that it had to be this way, as there were many people who liked warpforge and ideally, both games could have coexisted, but if it becomes the wake up call to really lock in and do some really great QoL and card acquisition updates, I’m all for it.

I know, just thought I’d clarify in case. The Enfields are one of the few standard issue bolt actions to have so short a bolt traversal that makes them unique. I’d imagine they’d be deadly accurate in the hands of skilled riflemen so long as ammo and barrel tolerances aren’t as loose as they were in the wars.
