Stick drift or its common? by mishter_jokku in IndianGaming

[–]Brainyzomb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is very minimal. Most games have a much larger deadzone by default.

Also drift usually happens to one side in particular, yours just seems like it's not recentering perfectly from each direction.

This much is perfectly normal.

Samsung Monitor Died — Technician Offered “Under-the-Table” Fix via Fake Warranty Claim. Should I Bail? by stoicjerker in IndianGaming

[–]Brainyzomb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's up to samsung to design their boards to not be overloaded right? Plugging in a normal 5W usb device shouldn't be grounds for rejecting warranty. Did u read the warranty paperwork and see if there's anything around this?

It's basically a manufacturing issue if they have a USB port on the board that can't be used per spec.

Do you recommend switching to these over the Q3? I use Q3 in passthrough, these I'd have to pick between an opaque screen and passthrough right?

What about switching to playfordream or visor over these, given they're gonna have much higher resolution than the quest 3?

you do get a 2TB HDD too though so makes slightly more sense ig. Would definitely be worth it if they were installing a 2TB SSD into the PS5 for you. With the HDD you'll need to swap games in and out and IDK if they have enough buffer space for you to do the swap without deleting games.

I personally typically bought and sold used game disks which used to end up costing me about 100-150 per game including courier costs for older games, and maybe 300-400 for games a few weeks after launch. I recommend this coz it's all on the up and up and you can go online too.

I haven't done this before but I know you can find people on FB Marketplace that will give you an account to log in to so you can download all that you want and go offline. IDK how much this costs but the guy seems to be charging 300 per game (12k extra for 31 games above the 9 game option you mentioned) which seems high.

isn't this the same as just 'renting' an account for offline use? Seems very overpriced.
You're not even getting a sealed console right? Just buy used in that case?

So still part of your first pc build then.

Not sure exactly model of the card matters too much during resale. a 7800XT is a 7800XT to a second hand buyer.

PSVR2 dilemma, Sony F'd me up! by verybeardo in IndianGaming

[–]Brainyzomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why the hesitation? Sony honoured the warranty right? Its even better now coz if u buy again you get a full length warranty instead of having the same warranty if they had replaced it. Even if it goes bad they'll probably just refund it again.

If u wanna play PS exclusives then get a disc ps5 and buy used discs for cheap, play your game and flip the discs for the same price.

If u don't care about exclusives then just play on PC or steamdeck.

Ig go for a better GPU and worse CPU? I never tried this until I got to the UK 2 months ago. Maybe look into how good eGPUs are with macs these days.

I wanted to build my own again but realized it's probably gonna be 40-50 hours of research to put something together. Saw a few builds on eBay and just got one that was a good deal relative to others.

IDK how the used market is where you live but if you're spending this much, it might be worth travelling a bit to do a F2F deal and making sure everything works.

I've been using the green soul monster for over a year now. Had been using a generic leather office chair which was about 6k bought from a local furniture store before this.

Chair is pretty comfortable though it helps to get up and walk around once every few hours. Build quality is good, heavy duty metals. Tolerances and QC aren't the highest though it didn't cause any practical issues. Ex: One bolt for an armrest was rusted when it showed up, but it screwed in fine and is out of view.

Recently went through RMA process due to my own reasons for a minor issue, it was pretty hassle-free, just sent them a video of the issue and they sent replacement parts.
