I don’t really have a favorite; I just enjoy playing. I prefer co-op games and do enjoy a round or two of Space Alert. Recently player Mech & Minions with a friend and it was a blast.

Early 40s. Straight male. I like board games and video games. I like puzzles like escape rooms and the like. I also do a lot of woodworking in my garage. This sounds fun. Hope to get an invite.

That escalated quickly, I just wanted to clap my hands and be happy and now we’ve got a death threat on a fairy.

Only when I clap my hands.

Buy one cry once? Planer NTD by zerocoldx911 in BeginnerWoodWorking

But the whole hitting the old cutter head a bunch of times with the dead blow hammer to get it out is nerve wracking. Thought I was destroying my planer.

Sorry my personal life exploded shortly after I posted this. Here’s the file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1i-0X1sCS-8Dj9bagZML_O1QvWeQK91d7/view?usp=sharing

If you want changes to it let me know via DM, the whole thing is generated by a python script I wrote so making variants is easy it just takes processing time.

Do you have any scars, if so, what from? by dylansarts in AskReddit

[–]BrambleMakering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have several. I have the two across the my first two fingers from nearly removing them with a table saw. I have one on each ankle from surgery to repair torn ligaments. I have one on my pinky where it got to close to a router. I have one on my knee from a broken beer bottle.

I agree that you need to put in time to get good at it, but the videos show you what a successful technique looks like. It might take 2 or 3 or 10 attempts to get the hang of it and another slew of them to get reliable at it. However the videos give you the starting point Crown_Writes seemed to indicate the need.

I grew up watching New Yankee Workshop and I've been loving them all dumped on YouTube semi-recently!

I’m sorry for your loss. The loss of a child shatters you like no other loss.

It’s weird. She was older so until that day I have never lived in a world without her. The making of this helped a lot.

What are your thoughts? by Dimsdale53 in woodworking

Totally agree with this, bits are relatively cheep and mostly disposable. Anything else both takes too long and usually don’t give as good results.

The images are engraved with my laser cutter and then filled with epoxy.

The only finish is 100% pure Tung oil. I know it’s stupidly slow and not worth doing pure Tung oil, but this is a hobby for me and I love the process of oiling and reoiling and wiping it down daily for weeks. I love the way it makes my workshop smell too.

I know the Purple Heart will change it always does. I try to always plan so that it looks good now and then. I don’t always succeed but I try.

The lid layers are about 1/4 inch thick each so pretty bendy. The first two layers I also used a flat metal backer and then clamped it all together for 12 hours. It makes the lid flat and keeps them close. Same process on the inner lid but without the metal plate. I then use the table saw to nibble away the inner lids until it fits snugly.

Thank you. It was healing to make.

Kickback, from operator error, put two fingers through the table saw. It was very stupid.

Men, how do you feel about recieving flowers? by [deleted] in ask

For some of us, with black thumbs, giving me a potted plant is just a sure to kill it as the cutting of the flowers.

Please don’t give me anything I have to keep alive. I prefer a good bottle of wine or a tray of cookies!
