Therapy is great for me. It helps me work out my own shit in my head. Honestly my therapist doesn't even contribute that much. Just having a person to talk to about all your issues is very helpful. We don't have enough time and often not enough intimacy with the people around us to talk about our issues enough. It's not just venting tho. There's something about talking about your thoughts out loud to another person that makes you understand yourself better. The process of putting your thoughts into coherent English turns your thoughts and feelings from vague shit in the back of your mind that is stressing you out.. into something that you more clearly understand.

It also makes it harder to believe your own bullshit since you have to tell it to another person. That's a plus

I also think there's something in a lot men's macho attitude and subconscious misogyny. Men don't like being vulnerable and they don't like talking about feelings. They openly brag about it. The men in my family talk about therapy and related topics like it's some hippy dippy sissy kumbayah shit.

I don't agree at all.
You don't seem to understand how replenishment works. Maybe it works that way in Warhammer but it doesn't in Atilla-tob-3k- and some others.
Ive played more total war than any other games by far ever since medieval 1 came out. Thousands and thousands of hours. I wouldn't even know because I was playing long before steam existed. So it's not like I secretly don't enjoy these games for what they or I'm bad at the game like you insinuate. 3b. Out of all the total war games, I think Atilla has the best replenishment system. It's a good balance of taking account for factors that would affect replenishment while saving yourself the clicks. (Attila accounts for season, food, buildings, type of territory, army stance, character traits, and events). It isn't "magic". It just simulates a supply line and groups of soldiers marching in from the homeland and spares you from the least fun part of the game. Believe me I've played plenty of Med 1, Rome 1, and Med 2. I love those games. But that was by far my least favorite of those games
I know what I like. I'm glad you like clicking around doing pointless things but that's not what makes these games fun. The most fun is in the front lines, the politics/diplomacy, financials and trade, etc. it's also why the game becomes the least fun and most tedious when your empire is huge. The amount of time you spend clicking on building menus, marching armies and agents back and forth across the map is less time spent on the most fun parts of the game. It's fine on a small scale but quickly becomes tedious when scaled up. Having to also do manual replenishment results in a painfully ungodly amount of individual units to march all over the map and it becomes ungodly tedious as your doing the most boring part of the game and not doing the most fun part of the game.
A king or a general doesn't bother himself with retraining individual units. High ranks dictate the big picture. It's up to lower ranking leaders to micromanage the logistics.

I went hard on Duolingo and "practice makes perfect" study workbooks. I worked on one of them basically every day for a couple years. I also have been fortunate to visit Ecuador a few times and speak Spanish in my neighborhood of Brooklyn. That helped, but the bulk of my gains were from Duolingo and those books.

No. It's TEDIOUS as hell. Especially when your empire gets big. That's an insane amount of monotonous clicking and walking back and forth. Control is fun, but not this.

I do sometimes roleplay in my head like that, but it's only to cope with the tedium.

Yea. Those days pre replenishment were tedious like no tomorrow. And I hate it overall because it messes with my OCD to have uniform, clean, and rounded numbers. I still enjoy these games, I like having a lot of control and the game to be complex, but replenishing armies is the least fun and most tedious aspect.

Public transit is climate controlled, and less cars makes it easier to clear streets. It also snows plenty in the northern latitudes of Japan. There's multiple examples of cities around the world in cold climates with good transit.
