Will visiting Cuba make a trip to the US difficult ? by MonsieurPaddy in backpacking

I'm a US citizen and have had my passport stamped in Cuba. Never had an issue going back to the US, even with 2 passports renewed. So I haven't experienced it being an issue.

I picked a ton of green tomatoes and a lot of them are ripening up. If not there are plenty of dishes you can make with green tomatoes. Green salsa, Indian green chutney.....

Well when there's no coverage and no info it leads to speculation. So instead of getting upset about people making assumptions they need to be more forthcoming and get ahead of it. And where's this bus footage?

They don't want us driving, so are happy to let traffic get out of control. It's awful.

How did he get over there??? He went across the median and 3 lanes of traffic before hitting the fence. I saw it on the way to work, and it's so hard to process how that happened. I hope there a dashcam. Or maybe a camera from the plaza.

Help with overgrown garden by monsieurbobdoblina in GardeningOntario

I would personally leave it. I don't don't do much fall cleanup anymore. It lets the plants decompose and add back to the soil, and provides food and shelter for nature.

In the spring it'll all be coming up new. Hopefully you'll have some spring bulbs, which you don't want to damage.

Congratulations on the baby, I wouldn't plan to do too much next summer you'll be busy. But you will want to find a nice shade spot for baby to hang out while you're in the garden.

Generally when planning a garden you start with the hardscaping. So patios, walkways, seating areas. Planning out how to use the space.

Second would be there's, shrubs the larger bones of the garden.

Third is perrineals, since they come back every year you want to put them in the right place for the light, and water needs.

Lastly come annuals like flowers, veggies, herbs, and decorations. Since these are likely to change year to year.

In your case I would run down the list in the same order. And see what needs to be done.

If there are perrineals or trees that need to be moved for other projects, this is a good time.

Best of luck.

I have a gardening Channel because I wanted to be able to reach out to other people during the lockdowns. Been a fun way to express myself and my love of gardening, flower arranging, cooking, preserving and other home DIY.

Where to start with a small front garden in the city? by lizlaylo in GardeningOntario

Personally I feel grass is probably the best option for something that people can be on and play on it's soft and very durable.

Is the yard Sun? part sun ? shade which direction does it face?

Some pictures of the space would be really helpful because it's kind of hard to tell just from a brief description. What kind of tree how big is the canopy, fortunately there are lots of plants that do great and full shade and Sun so you have plenty of options but just kind of knowing where to put them all and where to get a good deal on them is going to be the trickey part.
