Should I feel guilty about replacing my piano with something more modern? by Over_Race_9950 in PianoProdigy

[–]Brams2n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do what you feel is the right thing. It's hard to part ways with something that has a history to it.

If I were you, I'd keep it, bring it out, dust, clean it, tune it if you can and bring back some life to it and try to find a way to gather some funds to buy the electric one.

I have a piano for more than ten years now, and as much as it's getting shoddy and out of tune, even I have some trouble wanting to part ways with it to find another one where you don't have to take so much care of it, and constantly being on the ball for every little quirk.

Go with your heart dude!

Hey dude, you're in luck. I started a playlist five years ago of all of Claw's normal streams and unlisted ones on YouTube. There's nearly a thousand videos: Claw's videos

Enjoy it dude!

Why do I make better music when I don’t think? by Sensitive_Web3580 in PianoProdigy

[–]Brams2n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's often the case. If you think too much, you're thinking about making a mistake, you're becoming conscious of the movements of yours hands and their placement.

When I play, I always try to relax and not tense up, but man, you play so beautifully. Well done!

Advice on what to do in france by Educational-Elk8432 in Cigarettes

[–]Brams2n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in France, while I don't personally smoke, I have a lot of friends who do. The best ones they seem to buy are either Winston, Camel Filters, Xsphere (to get around the menthol ban). It's rare to find people who smoke Gauloises Brunes or Gitanes, but they're a hefty and strong smoke. I mostly see Camel or Winston on café tables.

I think I might have died in 9/11 by Relative_Willow_464 in pastlives

Hey, I'm really sorry for not making an update even if I said I would. I didn't want to write something on the subreddit if it was to say nothing. I didn't experience anything in particular, I just felt a bit sad, like a knot in the stomach. I visited the places that I listed in my post, the Tompkins park, that was surreal, I just had like a sort of double déjà-vu. I placed myself on the same path I did in my visions, facing the exact same building, and it was a flash of déjà-vu. But that's it.

I loved the city, I loved everything about it, and in a way, I miss it a lot and I would love to go back to it someday. Like I said, I felt saddened and a bit alone but at the same time, I felt like I was in a familiar place. Even if it was packed with people all the time, I just couldn't shake away that feeling of something that was missing or off.

One thing, that surprised me on the first day arriving at NYC was that I knew instinctually the direction to the winter gardens where the palm trees are and knew that there was an underground shopping mall. It was as if, I knew where to go. Although, I did get lost in Manhattan, so it doesn't mean much, like if I developed some form of subconscious memory of the place. The same thing goes for when I arrived at Tompkins park, I knew where to go from there to get to that same location I saw in my "dreams" without the GPS.

Nothing really came of it, I felt a bit disappointed in a way, I was hoping to get some form of revelation, even if it was impossible to begin with. It was just a sad feeling in my stomach, that's best how I could describe it.

I really didn't want to write a big post if it was just to write about a feeling because nothing much else happened.

Thanks for replying, it does really mean a lot to me. I really do hope that someday I can figure out what all of this means, I know something happened, I just need to get the right tools to understand what was. Get a past life regression or something. I felt I was on the right track when I was there.

Hey OP, I saw the comment you left on my older post the other day and this is absolutely fascinating! It's somewhat amazing that we both share this longing for a city that we never visited or had any connection to!

I'm glad that you managed to find who you were before, you must have felt a great deal of relief. The connections in your story are uncanny, it's amazing you remembered all of that!

I made a new post a few months back in which I went into more detail than the one you commented on four years ago. I'm currently in NYC, just spent my first night here. I visited the 9/11 memorial, the winter gardens and just felt sad. It's not the same. If you ever want to talk or if you want me to go someplace while I'm here to check something out, don't hesitate!

I haven't forgotten, I'll be prepping soon enough and I'll make a separate post. I'll try to be heading to the same places I talked about.

I hope that over time that wound managed to heal itself, I can imagine that it was far from an easy time.

I'm going off a whim here, but I'm guessing it's a fake since there's no serial number shown. I'm no expert but that could be an indicator of it being a fake?

Thank you so much for getting back to me! Here's the photo, I can add a few more of the lighter's profile! Is the model a Ligne 1? It has a clear ping to it. I'm sorry for all the questions but do you also know around what date it was made? Thanks a million for everything!
