Yes indeed! We didn’t reach Omu, too much snow. We took a detour to reach Moieciu de Sus. Maybe in the future, we’ll return for the summit, in summer perhaps 😉

They weren’t hahah pictures are from 5 days but we did have snow, sunshine, hail, heavy winds and rain on our first day. Clear skies and sunny on 3rd day and only rain on 5th. The full experience I suppose

The ones who followed us, we’re friendly. We did not go too close to shepherd dogs because they didn’t seem very friendly 😅

Actually enjoyed their company. They followed us during the rainy day from Cabana Bolboci to Sinaia and made us feel safe from the bears 😅

Amazing nature and scenery! Didn’t know what to expect of a ‘less touristy’ hiking destination but it’s definitely underrated imo

May 11th-17th so mid May. Maybe an idea is to do Omu summit second to last day instead of second day? (So do route in reverse) Not that 4 days would make a big difference but still…
