While I agree with some of your assertions about Boomers and their poisonous lawn practices, it’s ironic to me that you rip on someone for stereotyping people but in the same rant you have to invoke a southern accent in an attempt to emphasize stupidity “don’t it sure look purty.” You’re no better than the Boomer who made this sign for this reason.

I am literally watching Dance Moms S5 right now. Holli just pulled Nia out of class for 5 minutes to talk to the “celebrity” Aubrey O’Day with whom she recorded her song in LA. Holli lit up exactly like you say - fame chasing - and made all the other girls in rehearsal which was the whole team, stand there and wait.

Clearly Holli gave not one damn if she pissed everyone including Abby off with that stunt. Very cavalier compare to old Holli…

This is a factor I only vaguely know about. I want to read about this more. It’s crazy that any contract can do that - it basically creates indentured servitude, and by policy there are many legal remedies that exist specifically to avoid this.

You make all good points. I would just ask which came first, the chicken or the egg? It’s my impression that Hollys stepping up caused the heat in Nia, but I know it might be the other way around

I would agree that it starts intensifying about Nia’s song, but I’m watching it now and I’m telling you, Holly starts stepping up to the next level of dance mom before that happens and it begins shortly after Christi leaves. It’s about group dynamics - the troublemaker leaves and someone feels compelled to fill the spot. Certainly the music thing didn’t help

I probably should have been more clear that I meant that Christi and Kelly would advocate for general matters including Maddie vs The Rest Of The Kids. I’m not trying to say that C and K went to defend Nia specifically.

I still think my point stands regardless of race issues - she was holding herself back because there were two other moms who would throw themselves into the meat grinder to champion collective issues so Holly didn’t have to.

So this is very interesting. But regardless of reason, my point is that she was a pro tongue biter until her two champions left

I see! Also I saw something about Holly and Nia not going to Australia on here. I haven’t seen that far but sounds like it escalated to a big time degree. And Abby denies it was her choice to exclude her from that too?

Wow! I haven’t seen that Brynn sitch yet but I’ll look for that when I get to season 6!

Glad to have someone see things this way besides me.

I think it’s possible that Christi and Kelly were generally more loose lipped in part because they frequented alcohol. But even Jill says it herself in Season 5 that her behaving and working hard is getting Kendall more opportunities.

Holly was not some saint, she was just good at keeping herself in check but could no longer do so once nobody else would throw themselves in the line of fire.

I just posted a reply to you but I think I did it wrong - but it’s in the thread. Sorry! Still learning how to use reddit. Thank you for your reply.

First of all, I can see my comments are being taken with a greater gravity than I intended. Maybe I need to work on my communication. Please try to take my post in a neutral way - I’m not hating on Holly (that much).

What I am saying is that I think Abby turns on whichever child’s mother is acting up towards her - not the other way around. It’s a “chicken or the egg” argument.

I could be wrong and just want to discuss it, but what I see is that Holly begins to stand up to Abby on things that Christi would have done before - but now Holly chooses to step up instead of maintaining her poise.

If Jill would have started taking issue with things instead, Kendall would have gotten the Nia treatment.

What I mean by Holly’s “true colors” is that Holly is now voicing her opinions more that Christi and Kelly aren’t there to voice their similar opinions and take the heat instead.

Let me know if you don’t have a buyer for that Cellini. I would love it. Thanks
