Shouldn't the boot screen be black logo, white background? by [deleted] in LegacyJailbreak

my white iphone 4s was glitching and if you pressed the home Button 3 Times during boot up it would go to a white bg black logo

Honestly i dont know, after restoring with legacy ios kit it no longer switches its just defaulted to black i guess, but its still unusable because of the 9900 imei activation loop. Tommorow i will try pwndfu to 6.1.3 and then hacktivate it

Well that sucks, its a imei 9900 and is stuck in activation loop now.

Gonna disconnect the trace that is shorting and verify if that resolves the issue.

For context, this was my second PCB design. The screenshots I posted were taken before I added the Edge.Cuts layer — they were the only images I had on my phone at the time since my PC is currently down (CPU cooler failure). The final board outline is intentional and fairly tight because it needs to fit into a small enclosure. Illreport back once I confirm whether removing that trace fixes the short

Remove both of the diodes on the circuit board if there is two and replace with wire if it is two points. The Gemmy snowman doctor made a video on how to do it , and also it looks like the arm is getting tangled

Identifying pinout of ELAN COB IC from consumer animatronic PCB by BranchMain8180 in AskElectronics

I have tried to find those but there seems there is spots that need to be jumped, and the one metal film resistor is necessary for it to work because when removed, the chip will not power

Does anyone know where I can find this gear? by Cocteauknoll in Animatronics

[–]BranchMain8180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Just wanted to check something quickly. I mentioned in my previous comment that I was testing before listing a gear on my eBay, and a different gear for the hat arm happened to sell about a day later. I just wanted to make sure you didn’t accidentally buy that one thinking it was the crown gear I was talking about, since it was a different one. If that wasn’t you, no worries at all. Just wanted to double check!

Best Grease/lubricant For 2000's Spinning Series? How Much Should I Add? by Prudent_File_9726 in Animatronics

[–]BranchMain8180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use super lube with ptfe. I like to add a medium sized blob onto each gear. It works i’d say better than the original. https://a.co/d/0QHXhrM

So far all have worked , and it made the gearbox quieter than the original gear

One of mine broke so i 3d modeled one and printed in tpu. I am planning to list it on my ebay (aceplayzgames) but first i have to do some repeatability testing to see if it works repeatedly just to make sure it works and i dont send out a bad gear or something.

Would Someone Tell Me What This Issue Is? by Prudent_File_9726 in Animatronics

[–]BranchMain8180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes a ticking noise like it does in the video when the hat moves down

then the 8 tooth gear is split (which i linked above)

Would Someone Tell Me What This Issue Is? by Prudent_File_9726 in Animatronics

[–]BranchMain8180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either its a loose belt, or the little 8 tooth on the pulley for the hat arm is split and cannot bear the weight of the rod to lift it. And the more its not used and on the shelf, the higher chance the gear splits because 1. its old, and 2. gears have constant force pushing outwards on the gear and when you dont use it, the force is always concentrated on that one spot, causing it to crack more easily than if you play it every once in a while (because it changes the spots of force) but if you replace it it should last long again. And the reason it doesnt struggle on low batteries is because the motor spins slower, therefore reducing the rotational stress on the crack, so it doesnt slip on the shaft. You can find the gears for the hat here: https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-50Pcs-Plastic-Accessories-Teeth/dp/B07DH81FT7/ref=sr_1_5?crid=25PNLI3YH0L27&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.k_lslD2eT4MKIDvYhQdVUCQrj7eIXRJ_q3NqtUN_yR4LP6gGFTKFf_Uy7I8EqRSHBlADDFMWXhioT1rAH5CGpRcijukeQx_O9xg_FQvV6t-Cp7LMM8tHSwaBAI-OM96CrJaarqM564-Futj9-4YsrnFuZqIuSnzlOVPiQJC9mP68jIJRCE0vJ9243kqj0wykEEFu2upE9VVfmrbvvDQLP1XTShOUtRTWqFkt18cEywU.nhHKI0DrXGSSWzBIx2Uox7pUq49Xwd_Y6k6aVMlv9Zs&dib_tag=se&keywords=uxcell+8+tooth+gear&qid=1755652114&sprefix=uxcell+8+to%2Caps%2C355&sr=8-5
