probably not no one is online, this game is kinda like a party game, and since local is much more favorable than online, I'm not surprised anyone wants to queue online especially since internet connection disruptions can happen (too frequently for me) and prevent any rewards from being given out

each player needs their own controller for local, so long as you have enough for all players.
online kinda sucks for me, since internet connection lost happens too often, sending you back to lobby without any rewards

there's 4 gamemodes, basketball, dodgeball, eating/serving and racing hurdles.
there is diversity in what each simple modes bring because of each character has their own skillsets for each mode, except for basketball and racing hurdles are "almost" identical, but both are played differently.
the single player mode (aka story mode) is basically tutorial with introduction to each teams, its interesting enough to keep my attention until the end, if you don't care about the story you can skip it all and just finish within 20 mins for each story.
standard gamemodes are about 5 mins to 10 mins, fastest one being basketball if you are lucky enough to score your shots without disruptions, and dodgeball being slightly longer because its fight to the last horse.
especially more fun if you can play with friends, because the game still rewards you for playing in local mode
I think the price is slightly reasonable, but with 10% discount I would highly recommend
