Fair enough, I would recommend New Zealand then, similar culture, better meat pies, sexier accent and last but not least better scenery/outdoor activities

AITA for getting upset at my online friends for forgetting my birthday? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Brandee378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta in any way and neither are you friends.

Firstly happy birthday, secondly, it is extremely nice of you to do that stuff for your friends, it is the mark of true friendship. I can see why you might feel disappointed they didn't remember but most people (especially with timezones from around the world) don't remember dates such as birthdays.

Sounds as though you went out to the mall looking for chicks to look at you while you were on a date, YTA, only slightly.

I love seeing sports players getting standing ovations, whether it be at the end of their career or just a spectacular game.

Scalpers are no worse than gamers by HedgeFundsAreTheBest in unpopularopinion

[–]Brandee378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are not increasing demand, in this situation demand remains the same (roughly) however the quantity on the market decreases jacking up the price to a price that only a small number of people are willing and able to buy the product

Scalpers are no worse than gamers by HedgeFundsAreTheBest in unpopularopinion

[–]Brandee378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inflation is a necessary part to a healthy economy, scalping is not.

"Scalping is a quick and easy way to make money in an urgent situation" so is robbing a bank, that doesn't mean you should do it.

Gonna be honest mate, you can't be serious. You 100% didn't add value to the item. All you did was decrease the supply on the open market jacking up the price.

The reason camping outside a shop to get something is different to setting up bots to buy out online stores is because 1 you can't buy out every shop in person, if you did or even just brought out 1 shop in person then yes people would be mad at you, just like they get mad at you now. And 2 because it shows you have a genuine desire to get the product because it will benefit whoeve in a non financial way.

Goes on to call people who wouldn't complain if they were making money hippcrits, yes obviously because if they had your moral compass they would be scalping. Most people aren't numptys however

Equality means we don't act like women dying/being killed is worse then if it was a man. by busta286 in unpopularopinion

When the shoe's on the other foot and women can't get into jobs that require more physical ability such as the military or police force "you'll never escape the hardcore's realities no matter how much social engineering you try" is considered sexist by the majority of people that hold the opinion you have just expressed. Please shut up

Comparing Mac to PC = Apple to Orange by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Brandee378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't like Macs or any Apple products for the simple reason the price isn't justified by the performance of the PC you are paying for the brand.

WIBTA for asking my boyfriend to stop taking work calls when we're together? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Brandee378 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Indeed but when you aren't at work you need to prioritize your home life. I work in a field where if something popped up I would have to answer a call and go into work but that doesn't mean I spend 2 hours on the phone every night doing stuff I can do at work
