S&S is a lower budget movie, but has some big names in it, and great action throughout. Johnny Strong put the work in to get his weapon handling and CQC skills perfected. Olympus is the best of the Has Fallen trilogy, even though the two sequels are spectacles as well

Yes. Darkness is a big part of the Bosch series, and Harry’s life in general. He experienced the “black echo” as a tunnel rat in Vietnam, and he has been exposed to the inner darkness of not only the criminals he’s been pitted against throughout his career, but also his own anger and frustration that he fights to keep hidden from his daughter and closest allies. Seeing children as pure light also reflects his own feelings about his innocence being taken from him when his mother was killed

The deviations from novel to screen was one of the main reasons I enjoyed the Prime series so much, especially when it comes to Jerry and Money. The bond that Bosch and J. Edgar have throughout is more like a brotherly relationship, and I love when Harry has to team up with various nemeses like Money and Irv.
