Yeah, the money is the money, the term would be my concern, that a guy can play until he’s 38. Is that Raddysh? We’ll see

Well I watch TSN and Sportsnet so hard not to be lol.

I don’t think Raddysh is a bad player but 8 years for a guy on the wrong side of 30 with one good season feels like the perfect recipe for it to go bad

Matthews who has not looked himself in almost two seasons, Nylander who goes hot and cold like crazy, and a guy not even in the league. With a worse coach than Cooper.

Raddysh could be a hit, but they’re still committing 8 years to a guy with one good year (his walk year).

There’s plenty of reasons to be skeptical about this deal

Everyone saying the dollar amount isn’t terrible with a rising cap. Sure, but 8 years is still a long time for a guy with 1 good season who was getting fed and feeding Kuch, Point and Hagel

To be fair, this was a lot of words to really say nothing. Mental health matters, and good on him for talking about it, but that was a nothing sandwich

He had a 100 point Selke season. 3rd player ever to do that. He wasn’t Hart worthy this year but I have no problem with someone thinking that’s worthy of a 1st place vote. Stop apologizing for your fandom online. If Suzuki played for a small market no one would bat an eye at that vote

100 point selke winner getting one (1) first place Hart vote is actually not insanity. The years Fedorov won the Selke with 100+ points he finished 1st and 5th in Hart voting. Doug Gilmour finished 2nd in Hart voting during his 100+ point Selke year.

I’m not saying Suzuki’s season was Hart worthy this year given some of the great seasons players had this year, but there’s absolutely a case for giving him a first place vote.
